Senior Manager Finance - Brand Finance

Purpose:

Manages the financial performance and delivery of all financials for the Originals, Partners, Basketball & Soccer Business Units. Acts as strategic business partner to the assigned Business Unit Leader(s) and leads Financial Analysts supporting the individual Business Units under their purview. Leads development of Category strategic financial planning, forecasting, margin review and ad hoc analysis. Ensures integrity and transparency of performance measurement against plan to assure financial targets are achieved. Provides financial decision support for strategic and tactical decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provides strategic and action-oriented financial guidance and analysis on business plans, targets and controls to support the Original, Partner Brands, Basketball & Soccer Business Units in effective decision-making and the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
• Manage and maintain integrity of assigned BU's long-range strategic financial plans, monthly Category IBP Forecast (Volume, Sales & Margin) and Seasonal Product Margin planning.
• Ensures financial but also non-financial managers are provided top notch and highly accurate data and insights to drive actionable business decisions.
• Develop and implement creative process improvements and best-known practices while simplifying current financial management processes.
• Identify and analyze business risks and opportunities to determine impact on financial results, including post-mortems on outcomes.
• Lead and participate in cross functional projects as required.
• Lead Analyst team in both performance and support of individual and team growth and development.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent business acumen and financial skillset with high-level understanding and experience with strategic planning, financial analysis, retail math and retail financial drivers.
• Self-motivated, big-picture thinker with ability to strategically utilize people, resources, and data to develop innovative business solutions within an entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, peers, clients, and customers.
• Demonstrated leadership ability; both with direct reports and through leading and developing business solutions independently and cross-functionally.
• Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple priorities to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines.
• Advanced skills in Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot), SQL, PowerPoint, Power BI, SPS, Circana

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

• University degree in Finance, Marketing, Accounting or Business

• 7-10 years of experience in financial planning or analysis with progressive responsibility

• Prior People Leadership experience preferred
• Industry-specific experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Familiarity with relevant adidas (Power BI) systems/analytical software, and/or comparable industry Finance systems/analytical software a major plus
