What You’ll Do
We are Samsung Electronics’ multi-stage, evergreen venture capital fund, investing in deep-tech infrastructure and data-enabled platforms, with particular interest in semiconductors technologies. Samsung is a leading core tech player, and we apply the lens of the startup world to support new business creation for the organization. Our sectors of interest span multiple domains including data center and cloud, artificial intelligence, networking and 5G, automotive and frontier tech such as quantum computing. We actively invest in North America, Israel and Europe.
Samsung is ranked among the top corporate venture capital firms in the world. Â At SCF, we have made more than 65 investments so far, and enjoyed successful exits including Credo, Habana Labs, Innoviz, IonQ, Preventice, aiMotive and Ring. We are stage agnostic.Â
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.Â
•   Management and tracking of portfolio records and fund performance metrics in close interactions with the investment team
•   Management of wiring processes – portfolio companies and LPs funding / capital calls and distributions
•   Regular delivery of fund reporting and responses to inquiries by Samsung stakeholders
•   Close communication with Samsung finance teams including compliance and disclosures
•   Support fund audits and tax return
What You Bring
•   Bachelors with 15+ years of experience or Masters with 13+ years of experience with 5+ years of direct Venture Capital fund operation experience
•   Degree in Accounting or Business administration, or equivalent business experience. Certified Public Account is a plus
•   Communication skills in Korean (speaking and writing)
•   Enthusiastic, hard-working, self-driven, self-confident with low ego and intellectually curious
•   An eye for details as well as the ability to grasp big picture themes
•   Team player and good communicator

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.
