As Marqeta’s Senior Manager, Finance Transformation, you will jump in to lead intelligent automation efforts for the Finance team. As the first person in this newly created role, you will drive forward innovation using the latest technologies. You’ll have the freedom to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency, all while working with a strong internal team of Finance and Accounting minds.
We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within the United States. We’d love for you to join us!
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the Intelligent Automation function to support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and define requirements for automation projects.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure that automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reusable.
- Manage the deployment and monitoring of automation solutions, ensuring they are operating effectively and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Intelligent Automation and evaluate their potential to enhance the automation function.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors and technology providers to leverage their expertise and deliver best-in-class solutions.
What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years experience with a Master’s, or 5 years experience with a PhD
- Experience in Intelligent Automation, with a focus on RPA, AI/ML, and other automation technologies
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, tools, and platforms, including UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with technical partners and able to communication technical concepts.Â
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation and Benefits
Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- National: $124,650 - $166,200
- Premium: $140,250 - $187,000
- Premium Plus: $155,850 - $207,800
