Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior Manager FP&A will join the growing Financial Planning & Analysis function here at Bungie. The Senior Manager FP&A will be a partner and trusted advisor to BU leadership and will require understanding broad strategy, delivering financial analysis, and defining and reporting meaningful financial metrics to guide BU performance. This role will drive cross-functional financial planning and analysis across a business unit (BU).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as trusted and influential advisor helping guide the success of the BU, focusing on creating value opportunities and optimizing use of resources across the BU
• Support long range planning process by Strategic Planning team, acting as the BU expert on the long-term financial model, achievement of strategic initiatives, as well as ensuring alignment on establishment of budget targets as part of long-range financial model
• Collaborate with the BU on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes, with a focus on accurate forecasting and variance insight to provide business understanding and providing counsel on decision-making
• Work closely with cross-functional partners to identify and manage key financial performance drivers, business metrics and headcount planning and budgets specific to the BU
• Drive alignment between BU leadership and functional/discipline leads in planning and reporting processes, as part of matrixed organization structure
• Provide insightful analyses, reports, and presentations for MBRs and QBRs on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior executives to influence decision-making, as well as identification of opportunities and mitigation of risks
• Manage actuals in current year business model and provide deal modeling for product development projects
• Collaborate with the Finance Team and provides recommendations to enhance financial planning system and tools
• Provide guidance on financial processes and ad-hoc analysis
• Strive for continuous improvements in process, reporting and partnerships
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field
• 5+ years of experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
• Experience in video games, digital entertainment or technology industry
• Strong financial modeling and scenario planning
• Experience with advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to interpret and present data in a compelling format to finance and non-finance audiences
• Ability to think creatively and solve problems both independently and cross-functionally

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Practical understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with Workday and Adaptive
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
• Familiarity with SQL
