Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Reporting
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Reporting will join the growing Financial Planning & Analysis team at Bungie. This position is a critical and highly visible role that will provide consolidated and companywide analysis and reporting to support Finance and Executive leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a leader of the FP&A team by evangelizing the FP&A strategy and clearly communicating the annual planning and forecasting role to key stakeholders in the org, as well as being in touch with their challenges and constraints, to ensure success in the planning processes
- Design, develop, implement, and improve processes related to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis in a multi business unit environment
- Collaborate with leadership to understand and help define financial targets and goals, further supporting the businesses goals
- Manage, document, and communicate annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes to stakeholders
- Collaborate, build, and maintain strong relationships as a trusted partner with budget stakeholders and internal groups
- Define a clear and consistent process for cascading the long-range plan into annual AOP and budget targets
- Work with finance leadership to define consistent quarterly business review and Board presentation formats and speaking points
- Prepare and drive monthly and quarterly business review reporting packages for executive team and quarterly Board presentations
- Perform and manage insightful analyses, reports, and presentations on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior executives to influence decision-making
- Prepare materials and speaking points for quarterly financial updates for team meetings and Studio Updates
- Align financial reporting expectations and reporting between parent company and Bungie
- Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements & automation opportunities to streamline planning processes
- Define multiyear strategy for financial ERP system to enhance forecasting accuracy and team efficiency
- Works with G&A BOM to define and manage the Rhythm of the Business calendar and workstreams for FP&A
- Drive alignment of financial expectations and FP&A reporting between parent company and Bungie
- Acts as POC and manage ad hoc financial reporting requests with/from parent company
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Depth of experience in public company FP&A, digital entertainment or technology industry, high-growth technology startup, Investment Banking, Management Consulting or similar
- Deep experience creating annual planning processes, reporting and presentation materials in a company with a complex business model
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA a plus
- Experience in the games or entertainment industry
- Expert financial modeling skills and solid knowledge of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Ability to translate complex business operating models and operational indicators into financial performance
- Ability to thrive and multitask in a rapidly evolving environment
- Self-starter and proactive from first day on the job
- Experience with scale and global complexity, as well as experience supporting new business models and ancillary revenue streams
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present financial information in an easy-to-understand format
- Growth mindset and the ability to contribute as a team player in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems both independently and cross-functionally
