Verisign is looking for a seasoned Financial Systems Sr. Manager to join our Financial and HR Systems team. The Sr. Manager Financial Systems will have the responsibility to ensure that all VeriSign Financial Systems, controls, processes and interfaces are a complete and accurate reflection of VeriSign's controls and operational requirements for our CFO organization, including compliance and related processing.
The Sr. Manager will lead a team of analysts who provide the front-line support of our business applications, including our Oracle EBS system, related modules and third-party applications. The role will lead the support of both short- and long-term goals of the company as they relate to the CFO organization and act as the liaison to the Management Information Systems, Engineering and Internal Audit teams.
The candidate will:
- Oversee all activities of the Financial Systems function as it relates to the processes and systems which support our financials, accounting operations, tax, treasury related processes and related SOX and SOC audits
- Manage front-line support of business applications, processes and interfaces
- Manage the implementation support of prioritized initiatives, including the development of requirements and testing specifications and the testing execution for all software upgrades, technical patching, new module implementation, new functionality deployment and enhancements, including those related to 3rd party interfaces and reporting tools in support of accounting, financial, treasury and tax processes
- Oversee the accuracy of key master data, data mapping, and business rules, including the design of solutions and data flow, data security, integrity, relationships and SOX and SOC audit compliance
- Represent the needs of the functional CFO teams by serving as the liaison to our IT (MIS) departments for technology assessment, prioritization, and implementation
- Oversee the identification, coordination, and prioritization of new or redesigned processes, systems, features, and functionality
- Exercise supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing for identified initiatives
- Lead initiatives to analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems and automated processes
- Consult and collaborate with other business unit or functional management in the development of company-wide financial processes and reporting solutions to support cross functional needs
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience with financial, reporting and business applications support in a technical environment including financial reporting, preferably in Oracle EBS and OBIEE environment
- Proven successful management experience of support teams and projects with strong organizational skills
- Experience working cross functionally with finance and IT (MIS) to support implementation and enhancements of business applications, tools and business processes
- Advanced and in-depth understanding of functional, financial and technical elements of financial system implementations, enhancements and changes
- Passion for an environment of continual process improvement and experience in business process reengineering, planning, problem analysis, setting priorities and assessments
- Experience and in-depth understanding of SOX and SOC audit programs and compliance
- Experience with business processes in Accounting, Procurement, Billing, Collections, Assets, and General Ledger
- Ability to develop advanced data queries utilizing financial, reporting and OBIEE/data warehouse systems
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including presenting to executive leadership
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, including experience working with diverse teams and colleagues
- Strong sense of accountability and experience in driving activities to completion
If you live in CO, CA, NY, Washington State the annualized pay range for this role is $141,400 - $191,200.
The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
