Senior Manager, FP&A

Course Hero is scaling, and so is our Finance team! Over the past 18 months, we have executed 4 M&A transactions and raised nearly $400m in Series C funding, valuing the company at $3.6B and accelerating our already impressive track record of responsible growth and sustained profitability. Now, we are looking for a Senior Manager to lead FP&A for Course Hero’s new business lines (Symbolab, LitCharts, CliffNotes and QuillBot), working directly with the respective Leadership teams to develop and execute all things finance (reporting, forecasting, planning/budgeting, investment decision-making, ad-hoc support). In this highly impactful and visible role, you will play a critical part in integrating new and future lines of business into the overall financial ecosystem of Course Hero, Inc. As the dedicated finance partner to executive-level management, you’ll be empowered to not only provide FP&A support, but act as ‘mini-CFO’ to high-potential, high-growth, international businesses. Here are some ways you’ll make an impact: 

• Build & lead partnership between the FP&A function & new business line owners
• Drive the annual budget process across for our new businesses and institute a quarterly update process. Own monthly financial reporting and budget tracking for business owners and senior management
• Create accurate, actionable, and automated full monthly P&L forecasts for the new businesses in partnership with the business owners
• Work closely with management on ad hoc projects to provide in-depth business case analysis and intuitive reporting to drive intelligent decision making, 
• Define and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends, analyzing causes of changes, identify cost savings opportunities
• Own finance integration for potential future new businesses, including but not limited to educating the new teams on finance processes, systems and concepts
• Evangelize stakeholders in our new businesses around Course Hero’s key values such as Grit, Responsibility, and Always Learning.

Are you our Senior Manager, FP&A?

• 8+ years of experience in primarily FP&A - you’ve led planning/budgeting, P&L forecasting, extensive experience building and maintaining complex financial models
• Independently led an FP&A function where the key stakeholders are executive level - you are able to influence senior leadership across all communication channels & settings with key insights, practical experience, executive decision-making skills & consultative, collaborative approach.
• Able to synthesize complex ideas and communicate them in easily understandable ways; able to clearly and concisely present issues, patient and able to educate non-finance stakeholders on financial best practices
• Improved processes & automation and what value the team can bring to them - you see around the curve & proactively solve systemic problems
• Thrive under pressure and comfortable working with incomplete information; business common sense and attention to detail
