Senior Manager - FP&A
This is a leadership position in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization and will serve as the strategic business advisor and partner supporting the Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit (SCU).
What You'll Do:
  • As the FP&A strategic business advisor this position will be responsible for supporting strategic and tactical business investment decisions.
  • Responsible for developing current, accurate and complete budgets, rates, and performance analysis.
  • Present financials to SCU leadership and Aerospace executive staff.
  • Work collaboratively within the Operations SCU to develop financial best practices and coordinate with the Directors within the SCU to develop financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Support decisions with Economic Value Added (EVA) analysis.
  • Ensure business operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with best practices.
  • Develop, promote, and support Finance training to increase financial acumen.
  • Support business requests, special projects and collaborates with others to optimize business solutions.
  • Finance Leader effective at developing people:
    • Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure personal growth and management visibility.
    • Develop and support overall objectives, strategies, and long-range goals of personnel.
    • Measure performance through reviews to drive continual improvement.
    • Create and maintain succession plans.
  • Manage and hire in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Inspire self and others, make lasting connections and achieve results within a team environment.
  • Support the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) development and audit.
  • Understands indirect activity and allocation methods.
  • Support disclosure statement updates and cost impact assessments.
  • Support business operations that are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with best practices. All aspects of the role align with regulations, and comply with Company policies, procedures, tools, and instructions.
  • Support business risk resolution and opportunity identification and implementation.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

What You'll Need:
  • BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • US Government contracting experience with FAR, DFARS and CAS understanding preferred.
  • Understanding of business and program requirements with performance implications on the financial aspects of the business.
  • Finance leadership with the management skills to set direction and create goals that align with business requirements and timelines, prioritize tasks and enforcing accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify talent, providing sufficient autonomy and accountability, while building a highly functioning Team.
  • Excellent customer service, accountability, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills that result in effective decision making and priority setting.

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Relocation for this position is not available.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $124,500 - $172,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
  • Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
