About The Role
As a trusted partner to the business, the Senior Manager, FP&A will be responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of the global business. Working closely with the budget owners and leadership team, this role will drive business performance and predictability through financial planning, value-added reporting/analysis, and data-driven decision support.
Responsibilities Include:Â
- Oversee the global monthly reporting and forecasting process. Identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to achieve company financial goals (monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term). Ensure consistent monthly, quarterly and annual communication of results, forecasts and action plans to executive management, department heads, and other business partners.
- Partner with internal teams and third parties to identify and develop KPIs/dashboards to spot trends and unlock actionable insights. Provide data-driven analysis and recommendations for decision support.
- Build deep and trusted partnerships with senior leaders across the organization. Provide critical financial perspective and thought leadership for business strategies/decisions. Take ownership for execution and delivery.
- Support the monthly financial close preparation by working with the accounting team in review of key P&L line items to determine appropriate expenses accruals, recognize errors, etc.
- Participate in monthly budget review meeting and executive financial reporting.
- Lead the annual budget and planning process for the company as well as quarterly board presentation preparation.
- Maintain and improve cash forecasting and analysis on a regular basis (as often as a weekly basis) and find the areas in which cash could be used more efficiently.
- Deliver all investor reporting.
- Drive build-out of NetSuite Planning and Budgeting, a web-based planning and analysis system for FP&A.
- Build out a high functioning team.
- Drive for harmonization, efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and build a mindset of continuous improvement within the team.
- Assist in resource planning, including forecasting the demand for resources, planning for needs, and maximizing the productivity of existing project resources.
- Evaluate proposed investments, and the budgeting and reporting of capital expenditures across the company.
- Identify key business performance risks, issues, and opportunities ensure they are highlighted to management.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of progressive budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling experience
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate large amounts of data and information into strategic and actionable insights and business recommendations.
- An efficiency-focused, independent thinker.
- Experience with BI tools (NetSuite, Looker, etc.) a plus
- Proven ability to multitask and work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
FAQÂ
- Compensation: $135,000 - $155,000 + Equity. This is a full-time role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
