Senior Manager, Games Optimisation
San Mateo, CA (collab) - *requires onsite work.  

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Content Optimization team, helping to drive value by creating the best experience for the players with a curated, relevant, and optimized Storefront. This role is focused on developing the content proposition across multiple platforms, consoles, web, and mobile. PlayStation Store is in the middle of an exciting transformation to a more personalized player experience and this person will be pivotal in prioritizing and balancing the delivery of key commercial initiatives with developing an in-house targeted merchandising tool.

You will bring best practice methods for extrapolating and interpreting data to make better informed decisions and plans. And the right person will need to think and operate globally, developing, and managing a team spanning across multiple regions. This is an exciting opportunity to build from the ground up, helping to define the Storefront strategy! 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a team of 4 global optimization specialists for the Games category within the PlayStation Store; inspiring, mentoring and developing the team to achieve outstanding performance.
  • Support the creation and delivery of a global content optimization strategy based on data and insights.
  • Work closely with the Digital Games Sales team to turn content priorities into optimized and engaging content plans, to be delivered onto consoles, online and app.
  • Align with the Build team to ensure clear scheduling plans and timelines are shared to ensure smooth content delivery.
  • Drive profitable growth by improving important metric performance across conversion and content engagement.
  • Lead games experimentation, testing roadmaps, and sharing takeaways with stakeholders.
  • Maintain Store inventory forecasts and contractual content support plans.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to shape & develop the technology roadmap to aid content optimization and overall merchandising functionality.
  • Work with the Marketing team to align on plans and share results and lead on business reviews after each campaign.
  • Continue to find new optimal ways of working and ensure everyone is working to the same global single market model.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of content and conversion optimization tools and trends.
  • Retail / E-commerce background, with knowledge of subscription-based business models.
  • Expert people manager with a history of mentoring and developing dedicated individuals.
  • Proficient in leading A/B and multivariate testing across platforms.
  • Familiar with Adobe Analytics or similar web analytics tools.
  • Data-led approach and comfortable analyzing, interpret communicating and presenting findings.
  • Proven track record developing influential and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Accustomed to working in a pressurized environment; setting and achieving timelines that must be delivered on time and on budget.
  • Process-driven with a good attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem resolution.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (or relative qualification standard).

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$140,100—$210,100 USD
