Senior Manager, Global Business Planning
Job Description
The Global Business Planning team is responsible for ensuring Snap has a tightly planned and efficiently operated advertising organization. This includes long-term organizational planning, driving efficient processes across cross-functional teams, and building a culture of accountability across the advertising organization. When there is an unclear path forward or an inefficient process, the Global Business Planning team jumps in to move the business forward through strategic thinking and strong project management.
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Global Business Planning to join Snap Inc.!
What you'll do:
- Lead some of the most critical work required across the advertising business at Snap
- Responsible for ensuring Snap has a tightly planned and efficiently operated advertising organization
- Work closely with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to create, build alignment around, and support internal strategy for key advertising goals
- Project manage the most complex business projects that required coordination across many cross-functional teams
- Continually reinforce a culture of accountability across all cross-functional interactions through proactive communication and detailed operating plans.
- Drive strategic documents and processes to identify, define, and prioritize our long-term opportunities and relevant efforts and investments across product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- Excellent strategic, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop trust-based relationships and influence different stakeholder groups directly and indirectly
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully at the executive level while being both proactive and driving accountability.
- Intellectual curiosity and honesty with ability to develop and articulate an independent view backed by data
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience
- 8+ years of experience working in management consulting, in-house corporate strategy, Sales Operations, strategic program management, venture capital / private equity, with exposure to media and software (consumer internet preferred)
- Experience with Google Docs/Sheets/Slides or Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD degree or other advanced academic work in a relevant field
- 1+ year of experience working in an in-house organizational planning and operations role at a large tech company
- An ability to build strong partnerships with fellow leaders and senior executives
- A creative, strategic, and pragmatic leader
Compensation:
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) : The base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $335,000
- Zone B : The base salary range for this position is $219,000 - $318,000
- Zone C : The base salary range for this position is $196,000 - $285,000
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
