About the Team:
The Global Employee Communications (GEC) team is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Employee Communications to oversee a team of experts who manage communications channels and all operational aspects of Global Employee Communications. Their primary focus will be to enhance the operational excellence of our internal communication processes and manage the intranet channel and company newsletter. This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Employee Communications.
About the Role:
This includes maintaining communication standards, ensuring efficient scheduling and distribution of communications, global translation services, measuring and improving engagement, and enhancing accessibility. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our communication distribution and channel strategy.
Responsibilities:
Standardization and Optimization:
-Optimize and maintain standards for the format, length, and appropriate audiences for internal communications distributed by the GEC team.
-Ensure all communications meet or exceed trust/transparency, smart brevity and accessibility standards for employees with disabilities.
-Manage the process of maintaining accurate Poppulo (UKG's internal communication platform) distribution lists.
Channel Management:
-Manage and maintain the company's intranet and internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company's goals and values.
-Oversee the company newsletter strategy and content creation.
Audience Engagement and Surveys:
-Use performance metrics to identify opportunities to increase engagement with audiences based on geography, organization, or other internal demographic information.
-Support brief surveys of internal audiences to ensure the effectiveness of communication strategies.
-Ensure communications engage our global audiences by managing our translation and localization strategy.
Reporting and Updates:
-Establish KPI benchmarks to measure the engagement and success of all GEC campaigns and executive-level communications.
-Provide regular updates on KPIs to the GEC leadership team, enabling the development of effective communication strategies with up-to-date metrics and examples.
Qualifications
About You:
Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field. • 5-7 years in leadership, managing cross functional marketing teams- preferrably leading a team with Employee Communications Strategist, Employee Engagement or Internal Comms.• A minimum of 10 years of experience in employee communications, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field.• Proficient in communication software, including Poppulo or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with intranet platforms, specific to collaborating with IT to evaluate and enhance the existing platform. (E.g. SIMPPLR, SharePoint)• A commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability in a dynamic environment.• Experience in copyright and editing- high attention to detail• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret and use data for decision-making. • Excellent project management skills. • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining distribution lists. • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proven track record of effectively leading and developing diverse teams. • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
