HybridJoin our team as a Senior Manager, Global Trade Technology Management and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of cutting-edge military and avionics technologies across borders. In this highly specialized position, you will leverage your expertise in export and import regulations, specifically ECCN, USML, and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification determination, to support our Global Trade program and technology management initiatives. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, especially in engineering, to drive results and implement policies that keep us in line with global trade laws.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical/engineering background, who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and is ready to take on a key individual contributor role. • Working under/within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and HTS.
• Perform most sophisticated export classification (JC) analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)
• Perform HTS classifications.
• Support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures.
• Support Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies.
• Support development and delivery of formal and informal JC and HTS classifier training.
• Support non-US Global Trade program
• Lead projects with cross-functional teams with little direction
• Identify program gaps, develop gap closure plans and drive to success

What YOU Will Learn:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of U.S. export and import regulations, including the EAR, ITAR, and HTS, as they apply to advanced avionics technologies.
• Gain hands-on experience in performing sophisticated jurisdiction classification (JC) analyses, resolving escalations, and collaborating with customers to ensure compliance with global trade requirements.
• Enhance your investigative skills by supporting reviews of potential Global Trade (GT) escapes, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions that drive process improvements across the business unit.
• Build your leadership capabilities by developing and delivering specialized training on jurisdiction classification and HTS to internal teams, becoming a go-to expert in global trade compliance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
• Must be a US person, as only U.S. persons are authorized to access technical information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration
• Engineering and/or technical background
• Aerospace (program/technical) experience
• Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
• Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)
• 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HTS classification matters
• Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Collins specific GT related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) is a plus

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
