Senior Manager, Infrastructure
Job Description
About the role: This role reports into the Director of Infrastructure of the Americas region.
The Senior Manager - Infrastructure position will be responsible for leading and managing the following technologies and areas:
- Network - LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall premise and cloud, SDWAN, Office Networks, Cloud Networking Components
- Traffic Management - Enterprise LTM
- Server - Virtualization Windows and Linux
- Storage - NFS and Block Storage
- Data Center - 2 - US based Colocation Facilities
- Zero Trust End point technology
- DDI - DNS/DHCP/IPAM
- Cloud - Azure and AWS
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver new capabilities of Infrastructure Services to align IT to meet business needs while aligning to global standards and best practices.
- Works collaboratively with direct reports to support their career progression, nurture their development and to help them realize their potential.
- Day to Day operational support and managing service providers to provide effective services of the above mentioned.
- The role works closely with the other service owners and business to ensure services are aligned to support the overall infrastructure needs and business strategy.
- Manages Infrastructure, working with internal global service teams and external service providers' resources to provide effective services.
- Works collaboratively across Service Delivery, Business Relationship Managers, and Finance to communicate allocations, local funding requirements and establish / manage the infrastructure budget.
- Analyze and manage Infrastructure Services effectiveness through relevant metrics, scorecards and improvement actions.
- Works collaboratively with direct reports to support their career progression, nurture their development and to help them realize their potential and supply skilled resources to meet demand.
- Drives ITIL framework throughout the Infrastructure Services organization including:
- Incident/problem management
- Service Level management
- Financial management
- Ownership
- Change Activity
- Change Management/Execution
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience with 3 years of effective supervisory experience
- Must have proven ability to achieve goals and to deliver bottom line results
- Advanced Office Productivity Suite skills
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of FinTech concepts and Morningstar underlying business.
- Must have the ability to lead/mentor a team of staff effectively, meet changing business priorities, think strategically, understand and have insight into the FinTech.
- Possess strong analytic and technical skills and the ability to translate complicated data into useable information.
- Humility - Seeking out diverse perspectives and working collaboratively.
Nice to have:
- Network, Server, Storage, Virtualization, LTM, Cloud engineering experience.
