Overview
The Infrastructure Tech Engineering role oversees the base team that provides guidance and design recommendations for current and new technologies deployed across the landscape. A key focus on utilizing secure configurations is essential to support availability and resilient computing platforms. Being able to identify emerging trends in cloud computing and balance any needed alignment with on-premise systems is a core competency that will be needed to guide the company in the most beneficial solutions. Flexibility and solution-oriented approach is required while leading a core technical team that is responsible for the overall Infrastructure designs globally. You will be responsible for supporting corporate IT strategies and supporting the Operational technology teams that deliver services consumed by various stakeholders. Strong financial overview / forecasting and partnership with corporate teams is required to help make successful outcomes. Day-to-day activities include guiding direct reports, leading group decision initiatives, getting buy-in from application teams and coordinating initiatives. Providing support and guidance to executive reporting lines and C-Level assistance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that IT infrastructure is highly available and properly disseminated throughout the business area supported
• Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with IT and broader business needs
• Build and maintain vendor relationships to provide support for existing infrastructure and provide innovative ideas to current business environment
• Recommend technology updates and refreshes
• Establish trust and good working relationship between IT Management and IT staff and within the team; provide opportunities that enhances current skills while challenging individuals to learn something different including soft skills
• Manage current infrastructure projects (e.g., deliverables, timelines, status updates, escalations)
• Manage process for communicating scheduled and emergency outage activities to leadership and the end-user community
• Determine root cause of infrastructure issues and communicate to internal and external customers
• Work with the designated business and IT stakeholders to evaluate technology solutions
• Develop project plans, expectations, and associated documentation and communicate to all team members and stakeholders
• Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
• Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
• Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
• Drive solutions to reduce recovery
• Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
• Design complex system upgrades
• Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
• Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
• Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Key Performance Indicators:

• Develop technology forecasts in concert with application teams to highlight technical trends that are beneficial to the company
• Participate in security risk assessments and support the security teams in exploit containment when necessary
• Provide insight on current deployed technologies and regularly communicate trends in the data to all technology teams
• Support new technology go-lives with minimal / no business disruptions
• Create regular dashboards identifying: multi-year forecasting schedules for planned technology adoptions and cyber threat remediation and prevention activities
• On budget: ability to manage and deliver projects within the approved budget
• On time: ability to manage and deliver projects within the time plan
• No disruptions: ability to manage and deliver projects without impacting business operations

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline
• Eight plus years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Experience with ServiceNow, MS technology & Tools, MS Windows platforms, , Redhat, AIX, or IBMi on IBM pSeries hardware.
• Experience with peripherals supporting the compute platform as well as VTL and SAN technologies.
• Five plus years of experience working with automation frameworks
• Five plus years of scripting or development experience
• Experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Excellent global acumen to thrive in an international environment
• Knowledge of networking standards and practices
• Knowledge of major server operating systems, as well as OS tools and management techniques
• Proven track record of managing project to their full completion
• Strong collaboration skills with a customer-first mindset
• Comprehensive understanding of IT Process skills (ITIL) and IT Ticketing Systems
• Review, update and improve current and future IT processes
• Attention to details and effective organizational/documentation skills

• Extensive knowledge of IT Infrastructure Including cloud and on-prem technologies

• Create technology roadmaps with coordinating timelines
• Ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities and fluid situations
