Senior Manager, Instructional & Event Design - US Based Remote Opportunity

Common App is currently searching for a Senior Manager, Instructional & Event Design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Manager Instructional & Event Design plays a critical role in the success of Common App's member-facing engagement activities. Under the supervision of the Senior Director Association Engagement, the Senior Manager partners with teams across Constituent Engagement, as well as the Communications and Marketing teams, to design and implement compelling and engaging programming, events, and content that add value to the membership.
Fluent in adult learning strategies and practices and proficient in the tools that support this learning, the Senior Manager is responsible for identifying the optimal format and delivery method to meet Common App's strategic organizational priorities. They bring a highly collaborative sensibility to their work, move comfortably among internal and external constituent groups, and propose solutions and approaches to organizational leadership with clarity and confidence. In partnership with event owners, they plan and execute programming, identify success metrics, and evaluate outcomes.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of professional experience directly related to the duties of the position; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the duties of the job listed above.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in adult learning best practices with 5 years of experience in designing these programs.
- Programming design for adult learners with 5 years of experience in building programs for adult learners; i.e. internal or external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and experience with implementing adult learning strategies
- Ability to guide and support constituents and colleagues as they advance their learning
- Outstanding organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
- The ability to engage/direct others in developing innovative solutions, and apply sound decision-making skills to highly complex strategic and operating problems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and listening skills Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to analyze research and program outcomes to make fact-based recommendations.
- Ability to write business correspondence, reports, and effectively present information.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, staff, and member colleges and universities in a concise and effective manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while also being a strong individual contributor
- Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database skills.
- Professional demeanor and results-oriented approach
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience researching and evaluating program outcomes to provide recommendations
- Experience drafting business correspondence and reports as well as effectively presenting information
- Experience in designing and implementing virtual events and experiences for adult learners.
- Experience working in postsecondary education
