Ebay Seller Experience engineering organization is looking for a strong and dynamic Senior Manager to lead our next era of mobile growth. Ebay's Mobile Listing Flows originate 20-30% of Ebay's 1 Billion+ global listings, supporting hundreds of millions of sellers globally and accounting for ~20+% of Ebay's global Gross Merchandise Sales. You will manage a team of 15+ IOS and Android PD and QE engineers and your team will be responsible for the development, testing and bi-weekly release of the Listing functionality in our native apps. You will play a key role in Ebay's strategic initiatives in critical verticals like Trading Cards, Sneakers and others, creating purpose-built listing flows for collector and enthusiast seller segments.

Candidate needs to be in Portland area, or willing to relocate there and work in a Hybrid capacity 2-3 days a week.

Primary Responsibilities

• Level can be adjusted to candidate's experience and expertise
• Manage a team of 15+ PD/QE engineers delivering Listing Flows in IOS and Android bi-weekly.
• Usher in new strategic investments to enhance listing flows including Image Scan, computer vision, catalog/item specifics data recommendations, price recommendations, listing quality recommendations and other key data-driven endeavors.
• Drive cutting edge technology improvements in the mobile app space by keeping ahead of industry trends and emerging frameworks and evaluating their practicality for Ebay and Seller Experience.
• Drive tech-debt migrations and improvements including Swift migration, Graph QL, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Keep close partnership with backend/services teams to evolve strategic direction of service platform for maximum scalability, efficiency and maintainability.
• Partner with Product Management, BU, UX Design, and other partner teams (Selling, Buying, Catalog, Computer Vision/AI, etc) to deliver a cohesive end to end experience for sellers
• Educate and evangelize mobile development best practices throughout all of eBay, particularly the selling domain
• Align client development roadmaps with server-side roadmaps to ensure successful and timely delivery of committed feature sets
• Recruit and hire excellent mobile engineers
• Cultivate and mentor top talent
• Ensure new feature development adheres to the highest standards for quality, performance, automation and testability
• Be the voice of the customer in striving for simplicity, performance and ease of use in everything we develop
• Act with the highest integrity and professionalism to create a diverse, positive work environment

Basic Qualifications

• 7-10+ total years' experience including 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience and 5+ years leading/managing highly technical resources
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise in Android and IOS Engineering and Management
• eCommerce / Mobile commerce experience highly preferred
• Bachelors or Masters in CS or equivalent discipline, or comparable work experience
