Senior Manager, IT Engineering
Job Description
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Develop, propose, and manage long and mid-term strategic technology plans and roadmaps for the Data COE
- Lead and manage the performance and development of the Data COE team
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to define and implement appropriate patterns and practices for collection, consumption, and utilization of Data
- Drive modernization of tools and processes
- Manage contracts and relationships with key vendor partners
- Manage support and stability of the data ecosystem
- Estimate and deliver new features and functionality in accordance with business requirements
- Build and maintain a strong DevOps culture and appropriate CI/CD tooling
- Ensure adherence to published SLAs for in-scope tools and systems
- Ensure health and welfare (maintenance, security, stability, availability, etc.) of in-scope tools and systems
- Other duties as assigned based on business need
Critical Competencies
- Excellence communication skills, effective with complex concepts to varying organizational levels and skill sets
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results
- Ability to function well in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps (Git/Boards/Repos/Test Plans/Pipelines/ YAML/Artifacts)
- Working knowledge of Azure (Storage/Functions/Networking), Databricks, SQL, MuleSoft, PowerShell 7, Synapse experience
- Strong MS BI knowledge (Database Engine, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS 2008 R2+)
- Other skills involving: machines, equipment, tools, computer programs, etc.
- Experience with Python (PySpark), Scala, Java, C#
- Experience of MS Power Platform (PowerApps, D365, Dataverse, Power Automate)
Education & Experience
- 3+ years of IT Management experience
- Deep familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
- Experience with Project Management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
- Proven ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members to all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field
- 10-15 years of experience in Data and Integrations with progressive increases in responsibility or project management
- Strong Data Modeling, Reporting, Data Quality, Data Warehousing, MDM, ETL (MS BI [on-prem/cloud]), API experience
- Highly effective in eliciting system requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to maintain engagement with project stakeholders while setting realistic expectations
- Development and management of formal Data Management initiatives
- This position may require travel to other Winnebago locations.
