Senior Manager - IT M&A (Consulting)

West Monroe is hiring a Senior Project Manager, Cloud & IT Infrastructure to join our growing consulting firm and lead enterprise client projects through the full lifecycle – from strategy, concept, and architecture, through to delivery and implementation. We are looking for a passionate technologist with keen business acumen and experience managing diverse teams in the successful planning, design, and deployment of cloud and infrastructure solutions. As a tech agnostic firm, the ideal fit would be excited about broadening their skillset while working with cutting edge technologies across a variety of industries as a member of our national Enterprise Technology practice.

Responsibilities:

• Lead client projects and manage consulting teams in the delivery of cloud and IT infrastructure solutions with the goal of improving technical operations and business performance
• Interface directly with client personnel and executive stakeholders to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and lead solution design discussions
• Develop high-level migration plans, budgets, and implementation strategies for cloud services, on-premise infrastructure, and networking capabilities
• Manage M&A post-close projects following client transactions, often carving out a new business/IT environment and/or integrating acquisition into parent ecosystem
• Make key engagement decisions, including budgeting, risk management, resource management, vendor selection, workstream delegation, and project methodology
• Act as client POC and present updates on deliverables, communicate engagement status, and ensure projects align with their transformation and business goals
• Contribute to practice development; mentor junior consultants on PM best practices, stay abreast of industry trends, and develop reusable methodology, and offer expertise to the Technology PM Center of Excellence
• Assist with or lead SOW and business development efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required
• Consulting firm/industry experience preferred
• 10-15+ years of IT experience in project management or tech lead roles focused on infrastructure technologies: cloud platforms, systems, servers, virtualization, networking, ERP, procurement, etc.
• Implementation and migration experience across any of the following:
  • Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Microsoft 365/G Suite
  • VMware/Hyper-V/Citrix
  • Data Centers & Networks
  • End User Computer Deployments
• Strong communication and project leadership skills with comfortability managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, enterprise IT environments
• Willingness to travel for client engagements – COVID-19 permitting
• Bonus – PMP certification, engineering background or any level of hands-on proficiency with cloud and infrastructure technologies, M&A carveout or integration experience, business development/account management
