Role Summary:

The Senior Manager, IT Mergers & Acquisitions is critical to our transformation, innovation, and development operations. The team consists of skilled, professional Program Managers and Solution Architects supports Corporate Development in the integrations of acquisitions into Rockwell Environments. The senior manager will act as Resource Manager for the team. You will lead the team to consult, plan, design, deliver, and operate integrations for various acquired businesses.

The senior manager will be hands-on managing resources, consulting with team members and business partners to solve complex problems and remove roadblocks for the team to be successful. Supports the architectural designs and will drive the Program Managers and Solution Architects in the execution of Mergers & Acquisitions for Rockwell Automation. The Technical Leader is accountable for overseeing all aspects of the Mergers & Acquisition integrations.

We are looking for an experienced leader to manage a wide range of integrations. You will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each integration. A successful Senior manager must have a broad knowledge of program management principles. They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead team members and influence business partners. The expectation is to ensure every integration will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Align with SAFe Agile principles.
  • Partner with customer / business units to understand strategy and to achieve revenue faster.
  • Drive the architecture/road map alignment working with Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Act as a mentor and learner- always answer/ask questions to challenge the status quo.
  • Apply process improvements to facilitate improved outcomes.
  • Bring industry best-practices and new thinking to the team.
  • Overall responsibility for team's financial management and optimization.
  • Initiate and set goals for team members.
  • Keep senior and executive management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
  • Oversee the due diligence process of future acquisitions.
  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people, not afraid of challenging the status quo.
  • Work with your resources to create and review the budgets for each integration.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program, in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of the required program documentation and artifacts.
  • Acts as an advisor and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
  • Directs or approves the establishment of a framework or guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers and determines their use across the program.
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50% as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience

  • Typically requires 8+ years of relevant management experience, ideally within Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Seen as an expert within Mergers & Acquisition space.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and change management resolution.
  • Experience in Agile Principles.
  • Experience managing priorities within the Backlog.
  • Experience managing the overall delivery through the aligned teams.
  • Experience in interaction with Senior and Executive Management.
  • Masters in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or similar engineering/technical degree.
