Job Description

The IT PMO/VMO Senior Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for managing the IT PMO/VMO teams and ensuring the IT Project Portfolio achieves business objectives and improves the overall effectiveness of the organization. As the leader of the IT PMO, you will manage the IT project and portfolio management process with direct IT Leadership interaction. The PMO team works with IT Leadership to ensure the right projects are selected and completed within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. You will also manage the IT VMO and its processes and execute the maturity roadmap.

This position is part of the Information Technology department located in Brea, CA and will be hybrid work style. You will lead the IT Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and the IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) reporting to the Director of Governance, InfoSec, and Compliance (GISC).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise the Beckman Global PMO/VMO teams, support teams' development / growth, manage department budget, and perform PPM application administration.
  • Manage PMO/VMO processes while executing initiatives for growing and improving the functions.
  • Ensure IT project portfolio follows the established project management framework.
  • Provide insightful project portfolio reporting to Senior Management for better decision making.
  • Manage critical projects ensuring successful delivery.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 14+ (Bachelor's) or 12+ (Master's) years of experience working in an IT PMO
  • 10 + years of leading an IT PMO or ePMO
  • 4+ years of People Leadership experience
  • Experience managing multi-discipline project teams of at least 15 members and budgets of at least $500k
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels including executives and key business stakeholders
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• PMP Certification

• Experience leading a Vendor Management Office (VMO)

The salary range for this role is $165,000 - $185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
