Writes stories and epics that guide software development using Jira. Measure performance through established metrics -- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) -- and delivers agreed upon business, technology, and people results. Anticipates, discovers, and prioritizes client needs to guide execution of software delivery. Influences technology roadmaps and defines resource requirements in an Agile environment. Breaks the process of developing a large application into smaller parts using iterative software development methodologies. Makes informed trade-off decisions to strike a balance between software and product quality, cost, and timelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives.
• Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.
• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

• Responsible for meeting goals on time and on budget.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
• Advise senior management on technical strategy.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Develops original and creative technology solutions to ongoing development efforts.

• Takes a data-driven approach to analyzing client needs.
• Confers with systems analysts and other software engineers/developers to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing and developing legacy Mainframe, rich internet, J2EE, and .Net applications within the financial services industry using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and developing legacy Mainframe, rich internet, J2EE, and .Net applications within the financial services industry using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing applications in legacy platforms using Java, .Net, RESTful Web Services, IDE's, IntelliJ, Eclipse, and Visual Studio; and defining road maps and setting priorities for financial service account opening tools to improve business value of created products.

• DE solutioning architectural design of applications with business and technology partners (onshore and offshore) in a cross functional organization; implementing and delivering solutions for brokerage systems; and building customized business API and application UI solutions to meet client expectations.
• DE supporting technology (Angular) upgrades using IVY compiler; performing API connectivity validation using Postman; upgrading security infrastructure -- Bitbucket to GitHub code repository migration; updating digital certificates -- setting up two way SSL configuration -- using Venafi KeyStore/Trust Store; enhancing platforms to support OAuth authentication mechanism that involve SOAP and REST protocol changes; and analyzing Veracode and PEN test findings and prioritizing security fixes.
• DE performing product management and migration of legacy applications to Cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services and Azure); resolving technical and functional debts with permanent fixes or automation using Blue Prism and eye Share; creating monitoring dashboards using Splunk, Data Dog, and Cloud Watch; and managing service request backlogs using Remedy, ServiceNow, and Jira.
