Senior Manager, IT Security Ops

We are seeking an experienced Senior SOC Manager to lead the establishment of a Security Operations Center (SOC) from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, incident response, and team management. Responsibilities & Deliverables -

• SOC Development: Design and implement the SOC framework, including policies, procedures, and technology infrastructure.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Incident Response: Develop and oversee incident response plans, ensuring effective detection, analysis, and mitigation of security incidents.
• Threat Intelligence: Integrate threat intelligence into SOC operations to enhance proactive Défense mechanisms.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Establish continuous monitoring capabilities and develop metrics for performance reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, compliance, IT and other departments to align security initiatives with business objectives.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the SOC budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Training & Awareness: Implement training programs to raise security awareness across the organization.
• Partnership: Partner with peers in the Product Security and Compliance department towards developing standardized incident response playbook catered towards vulnerability detection & remediation

Required Experience & Education -

• Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within a SOC environment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in security technologies (SIEM, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, etc.) and knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $150,000-$254,000.  The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
