About the Role:As Sr Manager, Learning & Development, you will develop, manage and drive a global Leadership & Development (L&D) strategy to strengthen Vercel’s leadership, our people talent, our organisational capabilities and performance. You will create a future-focused and effective global learning eco-system, which inspires and enables impactful development experiences that result into shifts in learning mindsets and behaviours.
You will deliver a world-class L&D service which provides thought-leadership and cutting-edge learning tools and solutions in partnership with our functional enablement teams. You will partner with senior People leaders, our executive team, HR Business partners, enablement teams and influence leaders to optimize L&D resources and integrate L&D into organisational practices to attract, build and sustain a skilled, vibrant and agile workforce.
This role is required to work in Central OR Eastern Standard Time. Candidates outside of that geography will not be considered at this time.
What You Will Do:- This is a management and strategic role. You’ll be required to meet with department leaders & HR Business partners on a regular basis.
- You’ll need to liaise with the executive team, senior HR leaders and cross functional enablement team leaders to ensure the overall learning and development approach is in line with the broader business strategy.
- Develop the people manager population with the skills and attributes to lead the business to deliver on Vercel’s strategy to we remain relevant and future focused;
- Support organisational change through the development of targeted learning interventions ensuring there is a ‘joined up’ approach for colleagues maintaining engagement and increasing change capability;
- Creation of training and competence schemes and talent programmes to ensure they are regulatory compliant and aligned to the business strategy;
- Partner with the sales enablement team to ensure effective use of the Learning Management System to manage and evaluate learning using key metrics to support a high impact learning culture;
- Creating development programs that empower the team to continuously over deliver
- Identifying and driving synergies across business functions.

- Master or Bachelor Degree in one or more of the following; Education/Professional Education and Training; HR/Human Resource Development; Organizational Development
- 8-10 years of professional expertise backed up substantial experience in L&D (Training & Development), ideally in a global role and within the tech industry.
- Deep understanding of L&D and capacity building practices, challenges, trends and better-practices in the wider L&D industry.
- Strong instructional design, coaching, facilitation and training skills with evidence of effective application across global contexts and culture.
- Expertise in specific areas of Learning & Development practice, in particular utilizing a competency based approach to staff skill building. (eg must demonstrate personal expertise in several of the following: learning strategy, needs analysis, programme design, curriculum design, instructional design, learning evaluation, e-learning, facilitation, competency design, competency assessment).
