Senior Manager - Legal

The purpose of this role is to help deliver, manage and support legal work in within Dentsu at a mid to senior level of ability, management interaction and responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafts, negotiates, and advises commercial agreements (international and domestic) as per the business requirements.
• To understand from business and operating team and formalize their understanding with clients, vendors etc. such as RFPs, work orders, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs etc.
• Delivers adequate legal support (templates, advice, risk management, subject matter knowledge) to accelerate and underpin the expansion of company strategy.
• Provides legal advice on various commercial matters to commercial teams in contractual negotiations to achieve the most advantageous and/or beneficial legal and commercial terms for the Company.
• Ensure adequate support is given till the execution of well drafted contracts by protecting Company’s rights and mitigate risks that the Company might get exposed to in aforesaid dealings
• Develops and delivers training and legal risk management initiatives to senior management to strategically manage legal risks (e.g. business training, legal updates, etc.)
• Be the coordinating point between the Company and Corporate lawyers, for contracts where specialized advice is sought from external lawyers.
• Have a repository and data base of all signed contracts that the Company has and ensure that contracts are signed by appropriate authorities in the Company.
• To study, understand and provide insight on various Laws applicable to the Company such as GDPR, US Laws including CCPA applicable to Client Contracts, DPDPA, Laws pertaining to Employee Contracts etc.
• Develops and delivers training and legal risk management initiatives to senior management in managing legal risks (e.g. business training, legal updates, etc.)
• Helps to implement best-practices in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property, data protection, IT, Litigation and/or M&A
