Senior Manager, M&A and Partnerships
Job Description
In addition to technical skills, the role requires ability to communicate and present to all levels within an organization including Executives / Board of Directors and project management skills. These roles will require flexible working given their global nature, with some international travel, however we prefer candidates within a commutable distance from one of Dematic's global locations including Atlanta (USA), Grand Rapids (USA), London (UK), Manchester (UK), Banbury (UK), Milan (It) and Frankfurt (DE).
What we offer:
- Manage all stages of the partnering / M&A process including identification, diligence, integration and driving continuous improvement of relationships with strategic partners, acquired businesses and KION's industrial truck operating units.
- Participate in development of strategic roadmap which identifies key offering gaps to be filled by partnership / M&A
- Conduct research and work with regions and global functions to identify candidates to fill key offering gaps
- Lead communication with candidates from initial review process through to day-to-day management, if necessary
- Facilitate and manage internal diligence teams throughout the diligence stage to ensure a focused, detailed and timely review of each candidate against the relevant key offering gap
- Lead material preparation for steering committee reviews to decide whether to progress with candidate
- Facilitate internal communication of new relationships driving organizational buy-in
- Facilitate business plan / forecast development process per executed relationship ensuring regional and functional buy in
- Work with regions and global functions to ensure successful plugin of partner offering to Dematic ecosystem

Key Skills
- Process / people management with ability to collaborate and drive data driven results in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including Microsoft PPT
- Highly motivated, ability to be a self-starter and execute own business plan
- Expertise in developing, analyzing and modelling business cases, and reviewing and understanding legal agreements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, engineering, sales or numerical field
- 7+ years of direct experience leading and providing oversight and strategy related to mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships
- Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills at all levels, and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
- Ability to understand strategic business objectives and outlook and translate that into future M&A and partnership opportunities
- Experience working with international businesses
- Experience working in the material handling industry or similar
- Travel internationally (up to 30%)
