At Amplify, we put teachers at the center of everything we do. The Market Research team brings the voices of educators to the table to help the organization better understand what they want and need, both today and in the future.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Market Research who will bring leadership, expertise, and passion for understanding to K-12 educators to the position. The Sr. Manager will report to the Director, Corporate Strategy and will collaborate with the Director on identifying, prioritizing, conceptualizing, and executing on new market research initiatives.
The Sr. Manager will be responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, including scoping, execution, and analysis. In addition, the Sr. Manager will handle vendor engagements focused on market research. The Sr. Manager will be an authority in identifying the right types of research to address pressing questions teams across the organization are facing, and help drive more effective and impactful go-to-market strategies and decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Research and analysis: Plan, implement, and analyze market research projects. Projects will include quantitative research (e.g., surveys) and qualitative research (e.g., individual interviews, focus groups, observation, and secondary research). Your expertise will help resolve right type of research to address pressing questions.
  • Cross-team collaboration and communication: Build relationships with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Corporate Strategy, Customer Success, and other teams. Work with teams to identify research initiatives, get input from team members, socialize results, and make business recommendations based on those results. Communicate your findings effectively through slides, memos, and presentations.
  • Knowledge management: Document studies you have done in the research library. Identify and review third-party market research reports relevant to Amplify and disseminate them. The Sr. Manager will also maintain a strong knowledge base of previous studies we've conducted and their insights, and help Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams identify previous, relevant research we have done to make connections and help them make decisions.
  • Vendor management: Select and manage vendors and contractors to implement high-quality, high-impact market research initiatives.
  • Leadership: As a key contributor, the Sr. Manager will be an important leader within the organization, advancing the Market Research function. For example, the Sr. Manager will present to internal teams on recent studies, support the Director in rolling out new processes, and standardize processes for internal research projects.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, survey tools (e.g., Alchemer), and quantitative analytical tools (e.g., Stata, R)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to executive audiences
  • Experience managing projects with multiple team members

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selecting and managing vendors
  • Entrepreneurial-as a new team, we're constantly innovating and adapting
  • Experience in K-12 education preferred
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • High degree of empathy
  • Passion for learning from educators and ability to represent their perspectives

What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $100,000 - $105,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
