Your mission:
Create compelling and effective content, for SMB prospects and customers, that drives results, from driving top of funnel awareness to increasing utilization and education for active customers - all that contributes to building and enhancing the trusted brand of American Express.
What you'll be doing:
- The Kabbage Marketing team is always optimizing its approach to customer acquisition and engagement, and copy plays a key role. You'll develop copy that utilizes the Kabbage voice, promotes brand awareness and drives response across web, email, direct mail, display, social ads, video and other content channels.
- Additionally, you'll support our Product Team, helping build out a library of Help Center content that integrates into the user experience, delivering highly personalized and relevant materials to better educate and infuse confidence for customers.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the content strategy for a burgeoning tech suite within GCS of American Express, helping support a wide array of integrated products and cash flow solutions for small businesses.

What you should have:
- 6+ years of content creation and strategy experience
- Link to your portfolio or 5-10 of your best writing samples
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Deep understanding of content conversion and SEO
- A strategic mind, forecasting content calendars and topics optimized for trends and relevancy
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, legal and third-party partners to drive results
- A deep understanding of small businesses, their challenges and opportunities and the ability to translate those complexities into a wide array of compelling content
- An innate nature to think beyond the blog, stretching the role of content to be functional and sticky for the customer
- A deep knowledge of American Express's CMS systems, content controls and approvals
- Ability to translate complex topics into straightforward content that's human and authentic
