Job Summary:
- Customer Lifecycle Communications: Onboarding and transactional activities as well as brand value proposition reminders and education. Weekly View, eBill, NNP.
- Renewal and Retention Communications: Plan expirations and offers.
- Non-Commodity Product and Service Communications: Customer programs, additional products and promotions including paperless billing, average billing and "add-ons" (TX Driver).
- New Product Launches: Naming Suites and messaging documents to be used in online and offline communications, web user experience.
- Customer Service Communications and Strategy: Product and billing issues or follow-ups including missing documents, overdrafts, fulfillment.
- Agile project creative.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships across the home organization to develop, plan, and execute customer comms strategy and creative assets for the Texas markets to meet renewal, customer experience and engagement goals.
- Own strategic development of customer touchpoints Responsible for developing, managing, and reporting results for strategic, retention go-to-market marketing plans for offers/products/services and other aspects of multiple energy brands.
- Provide strategic leadership and identify marketing opportunities and action plans to meet business goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of the industry, business, competitors and brands, and act as an important resource for intelligence and direction. Be seen as a trusted, strategic, and confident marketer.
- Must think about consumer engagement and overall customer experience and is an advocate for the consumer.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the cross-functional team to determine product/offer positioning, value proposition, naming, messaging, and creative strategy.
- Identify optimal marketing channel mix to produce measurable and sustainable results that strengthen customer retention and drive business results.
- Oversee the creative development process for campaigns. Determine areas to better leverage a campaign across multiple marketing channels and ensure creative and messaging is synergistic in all communications.
- Provide strategic direction, marketing input and influence the creative outcome.
- Identify test and learn scenarios. Analyze and understand customer needs and refine plans based on learnings.
- Develop and oversee a yearlong strategic retention marketing calendar for campaigns.
- Brainstorm new innovative channels and marketing activities that will help differentiate the brand/product and drive business goals.
- Continuously track and monitor offer/campaign/creative/channel mix effectiveness. Deliver relevant reports and present insights to keep larger organization abreast of marketing activities.
- Participate in regular retention strategy discussions.
- Build relationships and strong rapport with various internal groups and executives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Open office environment.
- Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office.
- Some overtime required as special projects arise.
- Travel (5%).
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field required.
- 9+ years' experience in marketing, advertising, account planning, brand management or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building and implementing successful strategic customer marketing plans.
- Experience with subscription-based industry (electricity, cable, internet, etc.).

- Experience tracking and measuring campaign performance and drawing valid conclusions.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written and visual) .
- Ability to present to management and executive teams.
- Excellent relationship-building & interpersonal skills; collaborate across departments and organizations.
- Willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
