Do you enjoy using data to influence business strategy and accelerate performance? We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Data and Analytics to support the Thermo Fisher Pharma Services Group. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and/or data engineers, supporting their development and empowering them to reach their full potential. The Senior Manager will be responsible for providing analytics and insights to inform business decisions and lead all aspects of analytical processes associated with the design, execution, reporting, and optimization of marketing activities.
A Day in the Life
- Through analytics and insights delivery, enable Marketing team to optimize their activities so as to generate high quality leads and drive increased sales and revenue
- Support team in expansion of analytical and insights capabilities, build positive relationships, and be a champion for analytics innovation
- Collect, synthesize, and analyze disparate data sources to deliver a near-real-time, insights-based view of marketing performance and enable data-driven prioritization and marketing mix allocation
- Use analysis to make informed recommendations regarding segmentation and channel and content strategies that help us reach the right customers with the right message at the right time
- Be a trusted steward for our data sets and data governance
- Support learning and continuous improvement by identifying and actively participating in and leading process improvement projects
- Assist in the evaluation, selection and management of outside contractors and vendors
- Exhibit outstanding presentation, communication, and writing skills and a passion for delivering performance updates and insights to the team
Keys to Success
Minimum Requirements
- BA or BS required, with MBA or Master's degree in quantitative field such as statistics, math, or business analytics preferred
- 7+ years of marketing analytics experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop impactful teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Other Requirements
- 4-5 years life sciences industry business experience preferred
- Proven foundation in tools such as Power BI, SFDC, SQL, Adobe Analytics, Marketo or Eloqua
- Collaborate effectively in a complex, fast-paced matrix business environment
- Solid expertise in change management and affinity for learning and sharing best practices
- Hands-on statistical modeling experience
- Strengths in identifying actionable strategic insights from large data sets
- Some travel required (15% or less)
- Remote work arrangements will be considered
