Senior Manager, Merchandising
Job Description
Paperless Post is seeking an experienced merchandising leader to oversee merchandising and category planning for our digital invitations products. You will be responsible for delivering on our company's revenue and conversion targets. In this role, you will use your creative and analytical skills in equal parts to help set and execute inspirational product assortment strategies. You will work closely with our creative content team to ensure that we deliver the most beautiful invitations to our users and be an integral part of a rich cross-functional team. This role sits within the Merchandising Team and reports into the Vice President of Merchandising.
This role is hybrid and the office is located in New York City.
What you’ll do here
- Lead content analyses which drive business insights and recommendations
- Create line lists to guide our Content Design and Partnerships teams in creation of new invitation and greeting content
- Work with our design team to ensure all content and assortments maximize revenue while maintaining creative integrity and brand standards
- Support the development of high-level, data-driven content strategies for our digital invitations and greetings that align to market demands and business goals
- Optimize our invitations in-season to ensure that we meet our financial goals
- Provide insights to our site merchandising and marketing teams to ensure discoverability of our content
- Conduct monthly reporting on new content as well as ad hoc analyses to evaluate the success of our designs
- Support the Partnerships team with analyses on Partner-produced content and create line lists for incremental Partner-produced content
- Manage team priorities based on business goals and work with our project management team to ensure on-time delivery of new content
- Collaborate and liaise with various internal teams to ensure alignment against quarterly plans and analyze performance monthly
- Manage one junior merchandising team member
- Lead cross-functional projects and confidently represent merchandising viewpoints
What you bring to the table
- 5-7 years of merchandising experience in a digital environment at a consumer products company
- 2+ years of experience managing a team
- Stationery experience a plus
- Strong intuitive sense for trends and commercial viability of new product ideas and designs
- Demonstrated ability setting goals and managing teams toward them effectively and efficiently
- Strong analytical skills to support data-driven forecasts and decision making
- Deep appreciation for and experience with creative design processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint or Google Sheets and Slides
- Looker experience a plus

The Content Division is composed of four teams: Merchandising (on which you would sit), Production, Content Design and Project Management. The Content Division plays a critical role in bringing beautiful new content to our users and defining a seamless user experience onsite. The compensation range for this role is $ 105,000 - 132,000 USD.
At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits. The range posted here is based on the NYC market and may vary based on candidate location.
