REMOTE ROLE- 50% TRAVEL

Job Summary:

Under the umbrella of the Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance team, this role will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with Occupational Health Nurses, Safety practitioners and Environmental compliance leaders, driving a safe and healthy work environment. This position will directly manage and oversee USA field Occupational Health Nurse Managers (OHNMs) and provide direction and guidance to create standardization and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies. This role will collaborate with and support the Global Director of Occupational Health, Ergonomic & Claims Management in the planning, development, integration and evaluation of the occupational health programs and wellness strategies across US Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing clinical workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined processes.
  • Create occupational health services (OHS) audit tool and implement audit strategy to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies. (ie. OSHA, State Workers' Compensation, State Nurse Practice Acts, Department of Transportation).
  • Develop OH Policies and Procedures to align all OHNMs across the US, create standardization and ensure best practices are in place.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of occupational health programs, making data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes.
  • Direct management in the oversight of the OHNMs including onboarding, training, coaching, evaluation, and development of site as well as corporate relationships.
  • Collaborate with Global Director and field OHNMs in projects, initiatives, stakeholder management, and strategies to increase the visibility and growth of the OHS program.
  • Align all work and resource management with Sysco's EHS mission, vision, philosophies, values, goals, and strategic imperatives

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Education Preferred:

Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, or a related field.

Experience Required:

5 years + experience in quality assurance and clinical compliance of occupational health programs.

Experience Preferred:

10 years + experience in quality assurance and clinical compliance of occupational health programs.

Licenses/Certification Required:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Licenses/Certification Preferred:

ABOHN Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S).

Certification in Case Management by ABOHN or CCMC.

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Subject matter expert in Occupational Health programs and policies
  • Subject matter expert in nurse case management for Workers' Compensation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management and influence decision-makers
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills with the ability to recognize, analyze and solve difficult problems independently
  • High level of effective negotiation, conflict management and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to team-build and manage remote direct reports
  • Actively drives performance and follows projects through to completion
  • Effectively uses time and resources to accomplish overall initiatives and program goals
  • Works independently in a fast paced, change-oriented team setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office platforms, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
