(Senior) Manager of Accounting

The (Senior) Manager of Accounting will support and drive a variety of strategic projects with the Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, and closely collaborating with the CFO, this person will review processes within the organization to support all Accounting Team needs. They will work closely with numerous Senior Accounting professionals to strengthen our procedures and improve our systems. They will be the first of multiple Accounting hires in the Boston area, with the main team being based in California. This will be an individual contributor position with opportunities for growth.

Your Task

• Support Director of Accounting with strategic projects and other special tasks
• Oversee the setup of the team in Boston area (in addition to existing accounting team in California)
• Develop a strong understanding of existing accounting processes
• Documentation of Accounting Policies and Procedures
• Work with and learn from other senior colleagues (e.g. General ledger accounting, payroll, tax, AR, AP)

Your Profile

• Bachelor or/and master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or adjacent area
• Extensive experience in Accounting; e.g. 3-7 years in Big 4; 5+ Years in Private Accounting for large cooperation; or similar environment
• Travel: Would need to travel to California on as needed basis
• Ability to Commute or Relocate/Location Address: Boston, MA
