Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Finance Transformation leads initiatives across the Finance department to optimize operational efficiencies and drive value. The role project manages and drives the implementation of various initiatives, including process improvements, adaptation of existing tools and technologies, and selection/implementation of new technologies. The Senior Manager partners with senior Finance leaders to innovate, continually evolve the transformation strategy, and act as a change agent. The role interfaces with senior stakeholders of other business functional teams and legal practice groups.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement change initiatives using process, technology, and internal control design
- Assist in developing the roadmap and prioritization of various operational and system improvements
- Document and assess current processes to identify pain points and improvement opportunities in key process areas
- Design, enhance, and implement best practices for accounting and finance processes and controls across different functional areas, including accounting, accounts payable, financial planning & analysis, billing and collections and partner accounting
- Investigate and implement automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop KPIs to measure the impact of transformation initiatives
- Provide regular project status reports to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience leading change management and finance transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of financial processes and transactional flows
- Proficient with key enterprise technologies and systems including ERP, HRIS, BI, etc.
- Proven leader who fosters an environment of collaboration and operational excellence
- A proactive doer with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial concepts, problems and solutions to diverse audiences including both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrates sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Comfortable managing projects with multiple workstreams while also executing hands-on single workstreams (you are managing and doing)
- A strong team player, able to work with team members across all levels
- Superior organizational and time management abilities, with adeptness at setting priorities and solving problems under pressure
Education
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
Experience
The position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible, directly related experience during which the required knowledge, skills, and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated. Experience in a professional services environment, particularly in a finance or operations role within a law firm, is preferred.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $150,000 - $195,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
