Job Description

Bond Vet is on a mission to strengthen the human-animal bond through better pet care. We’re focused on urgent care, so we’re there for pets when they need us most. Our clinics are designed with pets and people in mind: warm, friendly, and highly sniffable. We balance this design with a strong focus on technology, all built in-house, which means we can easily innovate our systems to improve the veterinary team, pet, and client experience.

About the Role:

Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up — and we're looking for a motivated Senior Manager of HR Systems, Analytics & HR Shared Services to join our team.

Just like the veterinary clinics, we are building the HR function from the ground up. This role will predominantly be responsible for the development and deployment of HR operational processes, systems, shared services, and associated analytics. This is a build role "from the ground up," both strategic and tactical. You will lead a team of two, with an objective to grow as the company expands.

You will lead three parts of the HR function:

  • HR Systems (UKG, Zendesk, Culture Amp, Guru, and others). Having recently implemented UKG, this role will be responsible for the utilization of this new system.
  • Build and own HR Analytics to help HR and the business know the population and make data-informed decisions.
  • Oversee an HR team member who runs the Employee Experience: Onboarding, Zendesk ticketing system, DE&I, and Guru (Intranet).

What You'll Do:

  • Develop a best practice playbook in the use of our HRIS systems and tools that can be leveraged by all employees.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures and mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
  • Create new HRIS analytics, metrics, and reporting functionality to help us better understand our population.
  • Develop reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.
  • Develop, implement, and modify UKG system requirements.
  • Oversee a small team, leading by example and rolling up your sleeves wherever possible.
  • Partner with other internal corporate functions (Finance & legal) and vendors to provide data and services that will ensure optimal performance.
  • Partner with the HRBP team on the implementation and utilization of the performance management system: Culture Amp
  • Oversee/Manage the administration and reporting of all HR transactions for the business (e.g., requisitions/hiring, terminations, re-org, job changes, etc.)
  • Deliver HR Compliant processes and audits for federal and state needs.
  • Optimize the onboarding process from an administrative and compliance perspective.
  • Oversee the utilization of our intranet system, 'Guru,' by providing well-curated information that enables employees to get back to what they do best- caring for pets.

You will:

  • Have love and appreciation for Pets.
  • Lead by example with a 'roll up your selves' attitude.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting direct reports in achieving shared goals.
  • Have strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Able to effectively manage relationships throughout an organization as well as interact with senior management.
  • Ability to deliver information quickly to make data-driven, sound decisions.
  • A self-motivated attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and best practices in HR compliance - such as data management and storage.

 You Have:

  • Must have an expert level of skill in the day-to-day administration, and building of the UKG platform.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience:
    • 4+ years experience working in HRIS systems (Minimum two years experience working in UKG)
    • 2+ years managing/leading a team.
  • Zendesk and Culture Amp experience preferred.

We Offer:

  • Support for your physical and mental wellness: 100% covered health insurance, low cost dental & vision, access to mental health support programs and free memberships to One Medical
  • Time for you and loved ones: great PTO, fully paid parental leave, discounted Bond Vet services for pets
  • Dedication to your financial future: competitive pay, 401k match, commuter benefits
  • A place to grow: culture that is centered in learning and development, career pathing, mentorships, empowerment and trust

Our Values:
We’re obsessed with pets: The love we feel for animals drives us to do our best. We work with initiative, positivity and warmth to bridge the gap between human and pet, focusing on wellness to keep a better, stronger bond.
We work as a team: We’re knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about a better veterinary experience. We jump at the opportunity to help one another and seek out opportunities to team up on tasks. We’re all in this together - our team, pet owners, and the animal - and our success as a team hinges on all of us doing our best.
We communicate clearly: We speak up, we do what we say, and we’re transparent and honest. We value clear, simple communication.
We work happy: We bring a happy, positive attitude to work because it impacts the energy in the office.
We’re empowered: We’re building a new kind of vet experience, and every team member is empowered to try new things and own their decision-making.

We’re looking for people who are not just team players, but also leaders. If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably looking for something different than what’s already out there. So were we. Let’s meet.
— Dr. Zay, Mo, Lukas, and the whole Bond Vet team
