Job Description

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical direction and expert-level consulting on RBC's technology suite/applications

  • Act as a key driver/contributor of change, learning and design strategy for applications:
    • Identify opportunities
    • Develop best practices
    • Manage day-to-day allocation of resources
  • Establish end-user needs/objectives and develop/deliver learning solutions, including technology/software-based resources
  • Research, design, develop and implement effective learning solutions, including software-based, video-based, text-based, etc.
  • Design, develop and deliver solutions for change management excellence
  • Regularly research and understand current technology and tools available
  • Oversee/drive innovation in design of our online portals/pages for end users, including for intranet and other online hubs of information and resources; consult with other designers to provide direction on efficacy and best practices
  • Apply user experience (UX), accessibility and graphic design principles
  • Quickly identify methods/approach to make complex technical processes understandable for end-users
  • Support design/development of videos that drive executive messaging, change management and learning for internal and external audiences
  • Manage the Salesforce Knowledge Base for Applications

Planning, Implementation & Support

  • Lead technical design meetings for end-user solutions, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning
  • Measure and report on training, adoption and change activity to ensure effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities where additional training/change activities is a potential solution
  • Manage (update/improve/retire) inventory of learning solutions
  • Equip end-users with the information, knowledge and skills to utilize applications effectively and in support of the users' overall productivity

Relationships & Communication

  • Partner closely with Technology Experience Consulting, PCG and C&C management, Organizational Change Management, Business Technology Initiatives, WealthX teams, product teams, Project Delivery Office, Application Development, Compliance/Risk/Legal and Operations
  • Develop and support strong relationships with key decision makers in other departments
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team, stakeholders, and other cross-functional groups
  • Work with internal partners to determine and establish learning/adoption objectives that determine the optimal solutions
  • Lead meetings and discussions for the development of training strategies in partnership with project teams and key stakeholders
  • Work with corporate partners on firm-wide initiatives
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with business partners
  • Resolve conflicts/issues and escalate as appropriate

Development & Coaching

  • Provide direction, expertise, feedback, coaching, and development to build staff capability
  • Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business, user-facing technology and technology-driven learning solutions

3rd-Party Vendor Partnerships

  • Planning and implementation: partner to provide excellence, ensure constant innovation and alignment with learning and adoption objectives
  • Support: ensure SLA's are met; escalate as needed
  • Manage day-to-day relationships

Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring LDD provides a suite of innovative, effective and impactful learning solutions to increase end-user adoption and productivity, and thus ensure return on investment of our technology systems. This is accomplished by:

1.Working closely with internal teams to understand the desired user outcome, then develop and execute strategies that deliver those outcomes.

2.Designing and implementing innovative, research-backed learning resources that meet users' needs and therefore drive their adoption of our applications.

3.Continuously researching and engaging with industry-leading ideas and solutions to help deliver desired outcomes.

Additionally, the role supports the design and execution of key deliverables for clients and firm executives, including video- and software-based solutions and collateral.
