We are seeking a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our team.
Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Revenue Recognition is a key contributor in Imprivata's revenue recognition process. The manager will provide needed coverage in the review of all customer facing transactions in order to ensure the accurate reporting of revenue in accordance with US GAAP. The position reports to the VP of Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Review of new contracts including the appropriate facts and circumstances to determine the appropriate revenue recognition
• Review the significant customer transactions (over $50K) to ensure that revenue recognition determination is accurate
• Review quarterly VSOE/BESP analysis for accuracy/completeness
• Daily interaction with sales, legal, professional services, accounting, and sales order administration
• Develop and lead the implementation of revenue related accounting policies and procedures
• Review and document complex, multi-element sales contracts to support compliance with applicable authoritative literature
• Design, manage, and execute certain key controls around revenue recognition
• Assist with managing revenue recognition related internal control structure as well as the monitoring of controls around day-to-day operations in NetSuite
• Work with and train the Revenue Team to ensure that the proper revenue recognition criteria are well understood
• Review and sign-off on all monthly reconciliations and take the lead in audits
• Assist sales team and deal desk in structuring and reviewing customer agreements to ensure maximum revenue recognition
• Key contributor in the order-to-cash process, including order processing, fulfillment, invoicing, and collections
• Key focal point for all topics related to the continued maintenance as well as the new creation of product skus in NetSuite

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (CPA and/or MBA a plus)
• 3-5 years of "Big Four" Public Accounting experience particularly audit time spent in auditing software revenue a plus
• Proficient knowledge of ASC 606 (required) and ASC 805 (a plus)
• Strong technical background with capability around multiple software element contracts
• Ability to complete multiple priorities under extremely tight deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail required
• Advanced MS Excel skills required
• NetSuite ERP system experience a plus
• Ability to lead as well as work independently required

Working Conditions

• Flexible working arrangements - A combination of working from Imprivata's Massachusetts Corporate Office and work from home.

Physical Requirements

• This role is regularly required to walk, climb stairs, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
