Job Description:

About the Role:

The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting manages elements of SEC reporting group and ensuring compliance with US GAAP as well as SEC and FASB rules and regulations in financial reports, company records and material transactions. This position is responsible for staff oversight to ensure the production of accurate financial statements and disclosures in required SEC periodic filings (i.e. 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and Section 16 filings) as well as other external and governmental reports and releases. This position works closely with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Compensation, as well as Business Unit accounting leaders and the finance leaders in a number of areas including mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions.

You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Research and document all technical accounting matters, including implementation of new accounting standards
• Manage all aspects of SEC/external reporting, including the preparation of the 10-K, 10-Q and selected 8-Ks
• Work directly with our external partners to ensure that the 10-K and 10-Q are appropriately tagged for compliance with XBRL requirements
• Review external financial statements
• Assist in the preparation and review of Section 16 filings
• Review the Company's earnings release and investor relations presentations
• Review equity compensation expense and EPS files
• Prepare the annual budget for equity compensation and EPS
• Review the Company's annual goodwill and intangible asset impairment analysis
• Prepare and review sections of the annual proxy statement
• Direct the purchase accounting for acquired companies and assist when necessary in due diligence and integration activities
• Develop cross functional relationships with other departments, specifically, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Compensation
• Develop working relationship with the external auditors and communicate technical accounting positions
• Other reports and analyses as requested.

About You:

You'll fit right in if you have:

• Bachelor's degree required - Accounting or Finance degree is preferred.
• Master's in Accounting or MBA is a plus.
• CPA or equivalent is required.
• At least 7-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3-5 years of Public Accounting experience.
• Knowledge and experience with SEC reporting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly with respect to technical accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Extremely detailed and results oriented.
• Strong project management skills to establish and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience filing with Workiva.
• Knowledge of SAP, SAP BPC
• Knowledge and experience with SOX requirements, testing, and remediation.
• Consumer products or manufacturing/distribution experience.
