Guild is hiring a Senior Manager of Transformation & Enablement to drive efficient, scalable and cost effective systems, processes, and workflows within our Payment Operations function.  The Payment Operations team sits in the middle of Guild’s upskilling platform, and delivers on a first-of-its-kind tuition and benefit payment ecosystem that ensures our learners and members receive their employer’s tuition and other benefits in an accurate and timely manner.  In this role, you will enable team to deliver on the needs of our learners, employer partners and learning partners by redefining critical systems, processes and tools and building and delivering enablement programs that support our core operational capabilities.  

As a Senior Manager of Transformation & Enablementyou will:

  • Serve as a Payments authority - deeply understanding processes, systems and workflows - to enable transformation and decision making that supports 100x scale 
  • Partner with Payment operating leads and other cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Business Applications, Compliance, Information Security, etc.) to develop a comprehensive Payments transformation strategy, enabling us to meet our defined company and function goals 
  • Build and execute on a cross-functional planning, prioritization, discovery, and delivery program that enables efficient execution against the transformation strategy throughout its entire lifecycle 
  • Deploy your deep financial systems transformation experience and critical thinking skills to enable continuous improvement with minimal disruption to existing teams and services
  • Drive impact - both leading through influence as well as potentially through team management
  • Act as a trusted partner to the business and Guild leadership in navigating critical solution discovery and delivery initiatives that involve payment capabilities
  • Develop and complete a KPI program that measures the impact of implemented process changes and overall function health
  • Design, build, and help operators complete operational enablement programs, including knowledge management, team member on-boarding and training, organizational change facilitation and post implementation reviews, KPI reporting and workforce planning
  • Be a cultural leader across Payment Operations, exemplifying the key attributes that enables our team to be successful - commitment to excellence, partnership, ingenuity, multi-stakeholder decision making, empathy, and a desire to have fun while making a significant impact on hundreds of thousands of learners’ lives

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of progressive payments, accounting and/or financial operations transformation, enablement and operational experience in high-growth, dynamic environments
  • A successful record of transforming financial/payments systems, processes, and workflows to support high quality outcomes in a rapidly scaling environment
  • Experience in Finance ERP or system implementations, preferably in a fast-growing company including enhancing and streamlining processes (NetSuite a plus)
  • Experience and ability to drive impact via your own work as well as the work of others - both via influence and potentially direct people leadership
  • The ability to be a partner that can engage at different levels, with different personalities, across multiple functions to drive consensus and deliver the best outcomes for your customers
  • A strong desire to make a systemic impact through problem solving and continuous improvement. You address nuanced business challenges to deliver results in a repeatable, extensible manner. You find, create and use qualitative and quantitative data with equal comfort in support of this work
  • Experience partnering with operators to design, build and implement enablement programs that support core operational capabilities
  • Very strong communication and partner management skills that allow you to drive alignment and ensure collective delivery
  • Comfort operating in a changing and ambiguous environment - likely having worked in high-growth companies where you have experience in enabling scale and delivering high quality results
  • Strong leadership skills that enable you to define and articulate a strategy, organize and empower teams and individuals against this vision, create alignment and commitment to delivery and ultimately ensure success against the stated objectives 
  • Experience hiring and leading a small, impactful team 

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $100,000 - $137,500, as well as company stock options.
