The Job
We are looking for a Workplace Experience Leader to develop and lead Own’s North America Workplace organization. Own is a fast growing, vibrant organization with a very strong office culture and we are looking for an experienced leader to develop and implement a strategy of global experience. The Workplace organization includes all areas of workplace management, real estate and facilities. You will have the opportunity to help us prepare for the future, while making sure our office is running smoothly in the present.
As the leader, you will advise the Own’s executive leadership, work closely with the CEO and key partners (Services, HR, IT and Finance) to create an engaging and productive workplace experience for all. You will apply your expertise to a variety of projects that require leadership, coordination, and strong communication skills. You are a relationship builder and a welcoming presence that thrives on making sure the offices are conducive to high morale.
Your Day-to-Day Role
- Deliver best-in-class workplace services, balancing cost and business needs to create dynamic and enticing workplaces. (Ex. office perks: transportation, gym, refreshments, meals, and holiday celebrations)
- Serve as the ambassador for our in-office first culture, by providing services and that increase employee engagement and productivity
- Plan and execute on strategic goals for the Workplace Experience team by ensuring processes are standardized and scalable
- Lead a team responsible for the end-to-end management of the workplace lifecycle, including occupancy/ space management, reception, facilities management, employee events
- Research and implement new cost effective measures for office expenditures and manage facilities budget
- Manage vendors and property management to ensure services requirements are being met and any issues are resolved quickly
Your Work Experience
- 7+ years of relevant workplace experience in the areas of Workplace Management, Office Management, Facilities, and Corporate Real Estate
- Experience managing the function Globally and managing people across borders and timezones
- Demonstrated experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in related disciplines(e.g., HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
- Financial acumen, analytical and problem solving skills; with examples of using data, trends, and research to drive action & impact
- Ability to produce and deliver executive level presentations, read audiences and adapt style and delivery of information accordingly
- Ability to travel to all locations (about 20% of time)
- Experience working at startup environments that requires hands on management, flexibility and ability to wear “multiple hats”
- High level of professionalism, especially in the face of challenging situations
- Effective communicator both verbal and written
Important Details
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
