Senior Manager, Operations TrainingÂSummary
The Senior Manager, Operations Training is responsible for building technical skills in the hourly plant workforce to deliver safe, quality, efficient pounds. This role is the functional coach for the Training Leaders at each of the factories. This role requires the organizational skills to develop and implement tools and processes across the Shearer’s enterprise.
Your seat at the table
- Partner with Operations Directors and Vice Presidents to understand priority technical skills needed in the factories
- Lead the enterprise Training and Qualifications Pillar, consisting of the plant Training & Qualification Managers
- Partner with the Technical Team to develop technical training material for plant operators
- Develop and implement standard training tools to include Site Skills Matrix and a format for technical training material
- Partner with Corporate and Plant HR leaders to design and implement effective orientation and onboarding work processes for new hire hourly team members.
- Partner with Maintenance Director to create and implement Maintenance training program, to complement tiered maintenance pay system
- Own technical training vision for the enterprise
What you bring to the tableÂ
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, HR and/or training
- Interpersonal skills
- Decision-making skills
- Time management skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate
- Ability to work within an integrated operating enterprise
- Ability to manage team members in executing complex programs
- Ability to work a variable schedule
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with the essential duties and responsibilities
