Job Description

Found is a modern weight care platform and community focused on integrated support. According to a recent CDC study, nearly 50% of Americans want to lose weight, and on average, Americans have gained 30 lbs during the pandemic. But the existing weight loss industry focuses on shame - if you don’t have the willpower to eat less and workout more, you aren’t trying hard enough.

Modern science shows us that weight care is complex - food and movement are important, but so are hormones, genetics, sleep, stress, mental health, and daily habits. Found’s unique approach incorporates personalized coaching, an online community, and if indicated, medical and prescription solutions.

Research shows that addressing weight health reduces the long-term risk of diabetes, heart disease, and some forms of cancer. We believe in giving our community tools that will help them add years to their lives and reach their goals.  We believe it’s not just what you’ve lost, it’s what you’ve Found.  Found has raised more than $130mm from leading investors, including Atomic, GV, WestCap, IVP, TCG, Define Ventures and more.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic leader, problem-solver, and innovator to help us shape our People strategy. In partnership with the VP, People, the broader People team, the Chief of Staff, and the CEO, this person will help us define and drive toward an inspiring and unique vision for the Found employee experience. We know that our product offers a life-changing experience for our members, and we want Found to be a place that offers a career-defining experience for our employees. Shaping this experience – from hire to an employee’s 5-year anniversary (and beyond!) – will come down to the strategy you help shape, the large-scale projects you drive forward, and the cultural rituals and behaviors you empower. This role will oversee the People strategy, project management, internal communications (in close partnership with the Chief of Staff), and cross-functional culture initiatives. Reporting to the VP, People, you will directly support the buildout of a courageous, creative, and delightful People team.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the VP, People to develop the short- and long-term People vision and roadmap; you’ll implement processes, tools, and procedures that empower a connected and collaborative People team
  • Lead the People Operations & Project team [think of this as the business ops of the People team], focused on developing the tools, systems, and operational rigor that improves the velocity and impact of the People team
  • Own people-focused internal comms, including bi-monthly Town Halls & All Hands meetings, organizational updates, change management, and programmatic comms (e.g., Perf); exec comms will be owned by Chief of Staff, but you will be an instrumental part of shaping & cascading exec messages & themes
  • Serve as a consultant to other People functions, providing input around how to structure work for greatest impact (leveraging your team where it makes sense)
  • Lead upward and outward reporting from the People team to organizations like the Leadership team, BOD, etc.
  • Help solidify basic reporting and analytics for the People space, and identify what is needed to create a more data-driven People strategy
  • Define specific culture initiatives, many of which will likely be cross-functional efforts, that foster Found’s values and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and VP, People to develop and execute Found’s approach for leveraging in-person touchpoints (e.g. offsites, co-working opportunities) as a remote-first company.
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff to operationalize and scale Found’s internal operating infrastructure; you’ll implement the structures, programs, and tools that enable the broader team to do their best work.

What You Have

  • Passion for working in a rapidly growing business with curiosity, humility, humor, and professionalism
  • Ability to fluidly communicate across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to entry level employees
  • Experience wearing several hats within a People organization (or within the business more broadly) and directly partnering with executive stakeholders; specific ownership of an internal comms function is a strong plus
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including workforce planning, org design, performance management, compensation, employee relations, employment law, diversity, equity & inclusion, training, and development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to coach folks through complex situations
  • Ability to interpret data, recognize trends and themes, and partner with the business leaders & the VP of People to deeply understand needs and design and implement solutions
  • Ability to be highly-productive and influential in a fast-paced environment and balance longer-term strategic initiatives with more immediate priorities
  • Exemplary organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive compensation including equity
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • PTO, company-paid holidays, parental leave
  • 401K, wellness and wifi perks
  • Flexible, remote-first work culture
