This Senior Manager PMO role is supporting the PlayStation Direct team.  What is PlayStation Direct?  PlayStation is committed to being the best place to play regardless of location, by delivering a world-class end-to-end direct to consumer experience which seamlessly enables the ability to access and acquire all our products from PlayStation itself worldwide  In order to engage directly with our global PlayStation users, PS Direct provides the ability to sell physical consoles and game play products providing our players with a true end-to-end consumer experience, both digital and physical, in order to maximize Customer Lifetime Value.

As Sr. Manager with PlayStation Direct, you will guide the PMO team that is responsible for driving critical strategic initiatives from inception through to deployment, over a worldwide scale. You will partner with teams such as product management, engineering, quality assurance, security, business, design, customer experience, marketing and more. 

Job Description:

  • You will play a leadership role by managing a team of Program Managers who lead and coach highly visible technology projects and teams.  You will also be part of a cross-functional leadership team that leads PlayStation Direct.

  • You will represent the organization to executive leadership, providing visibility on major initiatives

  • You possess strong leadership skills, confirmed project management ability, and a positive approach in leading staff, clients, and project related issues

  • You will foster a team culture of inclusion and well-being.

  • You will develop, motivate, and empower direct reports to make appropriate program related decisions while fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and mentoring.

  • You will manage distribution and allocation of resources.

  • You will work collaboratively across cross-functional areas to drive overall program success.

  • You will communicate status, program health, overall risks, advanced technical issues to technical staff, product partners and senior management.

  • You will lead and promote continual learning and process improvements to deliver projects from inception to conclusion.

  • You will manage the coordination of activities and communication across global distributed locations.

  • You will be an advocate for activities and practices that help boost overall employee engagement.

  • Participate in setting and executing the vision, mission and goals for the department and team

Requirements:

  • BA/ BS Degree or equivalent, MBA Preferred

  • A minimum of 5+ years of management experience

  • 8+ years’ experience working in a program/project management capacity for software development projects

  • Track record of successfully leading large/complex global cross functional projects, strong domestic and international project management experience.

  • Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle and Project Management Methodologies, specifically Agile/Scrum, in addition to Waterfall.

  • Experience in digital media software and/or gaming industry is desired.

  • You have excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

  • You work effectively and expertly with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team.

  • Excel in conflict resolution, negotiation, and people management

  • You exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and can make good, timely decisions.

  • You are comfortable with authoring many types of documents, including scope, requirements, agendas, action plans, and project plans.

  • You’re motivated, organized self-starter with the ability to solve routine or complicated problems effectively.

  • You have proven effective leadership and possess ability to drive projects to successful completion.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$136,700—$205,100 USD
