Senior Product Manager 

Why Lytx:  

We are looking for a Sr Product Manager to accelerate our industry leading Driver Safety/Fleet Management Software. Our products manage massive amounts of data collected from over 1 Million vehicles worldwide. We use data and video to derive intelligent insights using Video Telematics, Machine Vision and AI for all devices and vehicles on the network.  In this role you will help drive the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Lytx's video telematics cloud technology line of business. We drive engagement with customers, internal partners, and engineering teams to identify market opportunities to secure and align product portfolio investments.  

You’ll Get To: 

• Lead the product strategy and roadmap for Lytx's video telematics solutions, focusing on safety, efficiency, and compliance. 

• Define product requirements based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis. 

• Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to prioritize features and deliver high-quality products on schedule. 

• Drive product launches, including developing go-to-market plans, training sales teams, and supporting marketing initiatives. 

• Analyze data and metrics to track product performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. 

• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and ensure customer success. 

Responsibilities: 

Product Strategy and Roadmap: 

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Lytx's video telematics solutions, focusing on safety, efficiency, and compliance. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights, prioritize features, and identify market opportunities. 

• Ensure alignment with company goals, customer needs, and industry trends. 

Cloud Development and Restful APIs: 

• Drive cloud development initiatives, leveraging scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. 

• Design and implement Restful APIs to enable seamless integration with third-party systems and services. 

• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based solutions. 

Data Security and Privacy: 

• Implement best practices for data security and privacy, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. 

• Work closely with the security team to assess risks, implement controls, and monitor security incidents. 

• Champion a culture of privacy and security across the organization. 

Product Development and Execution: 

• Lead the product development process from concept to launch, collaborating with engineering, design, and QA teams. 

• Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

• Monitor project timelines, track progress, and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products. 

Team Collaboration and Cross-Functional Experience: 

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing. 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to drive product success. 

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and achieve business objectives. 

Product Management Mechanisms and Tools: 

• Implement and optimize product management mechanisms, including agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and continuous improvement processes. 

• Utilize popular product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha! for planning, tracking, and documentation. 

What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field; MBA preferred. 

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with cloud services (API) and IOT and/or hardware/cloud solutions. 

• Hands on experience in extensively using a product management tool, applying product mechanisms and contributing to C-suite stake holder reporting. 

• Strong understanding of video telematics, fleet management, or related industries. 

• Proven track record of managing product owners across multiple product lines.  

• Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles from ideation to launch. 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence cross-functional teams. 

• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. 

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and driving results in a fast-paced environment 

Must have: 

You must have at least one of the following to be shortlisted. 

• Strong understanding of REST API suite design principles and best practices, with experience designing, implementing, and managing APIs for cloud-based applications and services. 

• Proven track record of successfully integrating third-party applications and services into cloud based IoT platforms, leveraging APIs, webhooks, and middleware solutions. 

• Experience in cloud migration of applications from on-prem to AWS by redesigning them to take advantage of native cloud services, architectures, and other advantages. 

• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, IoT architectures, and scalable, distributed systems, with hands-on experience working with leading cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 

• Demonstrated expertise in fleet management integrations, including integrating IoT solutions with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, transport management systems (TMS) platforms or similar software. 

• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based IoT solutions, including data encryption, access controls, and regulatory certifications (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
