As the product leader responsible for Subscriptions in the Product Growth team, your mission will be to redefine and optimize BILL’s plans and pricing structures, free trial/freemium/conversion and purchase experiences across all of our products. We firmly believe that pricing should be a reflection of the value BILL’s small business customers realize from our products, so you will do so by understanding our customers’ needs and motivations, partnering with exploring and prototyping potential solutions, creating, validating and testing hypotheses about user behavior, and driving cross functional alignment on execution. This is a senior-level role requiring deep business acumen and significant hands-on experience in defining and executing B2B SaaS plans and pricing strategies.

  • Report to the VP of Product Growth and closely partner with Pricing/Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Revenue (Sales), Billing Platform teams and leaders across the company.
  • Drive the evolution and iterative improvement of BILL’s subscription plans, and the associated customer experiences, across the product line, leading to sustained subscription revenue growth in our target markets. 
  • Propose and implement use of promotions to drive conversion and retention, including product bundling, discounts and other tactics. 
  • Synthesizing competitive intelligence, market and customer research and financial modeling to drive decision making around plans, pricing and packaging of Bill’s products - deep quantitative modeling experience required.
  • Define product roadmaps for implementation and testing. 
  • Coordinate priorities and dependencies across partner organizations, including Platform, Finance and Customer Experience, owning stakeholder management for the overall program.
  • Lead and mentor more junior PMs who may or may not report to you to build quarterly plans that achieve business goals.
  • Cultivate a data-driven decision approach by actively engaging the team with data analytics, customer insights, and other funnel data to inspire new directions.
  • Actively participate in product strategies & vision setting exercises in collaboration with product & engineering leadership.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience in a hands-on growth marketing/product role, responsible for delivering subscription monetization and cross functional relationships
  • Extensive experience in B2B, ideally SMB SaaS products
  • Deep empathy for small business customers and their day to day lives, and curiosity to understand their needs
  • Experience working across multiple platforms (mobile, web) and products
  • Deep analytics experience across both financial and customer metrics
  • Experience building and managing experimentation programs
  • Demonstrated leadership experience closely partnering with product leaders to develop the strategy and execution plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Growth mindset is a MUST
  • Bonus: experience in environments that have both Sales-led and Product-led growth

This role is based in California.

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in San Jose, CA. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

$185,100—$230,900 USD
