As the Senior Manager, Product Marketing at Zayo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product marketing strategy across all lines of business. You will lead a team of product marketers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product marketing priorities, drive go-to-market initiatives, ensure the success of product launches and sales plays results, and develop/ maintain great product content, training and collateral. This strategic position requires a deep understanding of product marketing, exceptional leadership skills, and a data-driven approach.
Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Director of Product and Vertical Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy that aligns with the overall company objectives. Lead, mentor, and inspire the product marketing team to deliver high-impact results.
  • Product Positioning: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities. Utilize insights to inform product positioning and messaging, driving consistency across the organization around how we talk about our products and services to customers.
  • Product Launch Excellence: Oversee successful product launches, coordinating efforts across teams to ensure effective communication, demand generation, and sales enablement.
  • Sales Enablement support: Work collaboratively with Sales enablement to provide sales teams with the necessary tools, training, and collateral to effectively communicate product value, address customer pain points, and drive sales growth.
  • Customer Insights: Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, leveraging customer feedback and insights to shape product positioning and marketing priorities.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with the Content Marketing team to develop compelling product-related content, including whitepapers, case studies, blogs, presentations, and sales collateral.
  • Analyst Relations: Cultivate relationships with industry analysts and ensure Zayo's products receive positive coverage and recognition in relevant reports.
  • Performance Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing initiatives, monitor progress, and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts to executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years working within a Product Marketing role..
  • Integrated GTM Experience: Proven experience in building integrated go-to-market (GTM) motions that involve collaboration with sales, product, and enablement teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Highly preferred experience working within the telecommunications or managed services industry.
  • Storytelling and Writing Skills: Ability to effectively engage and educate customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders through compelling storytelling and technical writing.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated track record of being results-oriented and having a test-and-learn mindset, with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.
  • Marketing Generalist: Familiarity with a range of marketing tactics and techniques, enabling the application of diverse strategies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Insight Translation: Proficiency in translating marketing and business insights into digestible opportunities, effectively communicating complex ideas to different audiences.
  • Collaboration: History of working collaboratively across marketing COE (Center of Excellence) teams, leveraging collective expertise to achieve shared goals.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to lead through influence, providing mentoring and coaching to more junior team members.
  • Matrixed Organization: Capability to thrive in a matrixed organization, collaborating effectively with a virtual team.

Base pay range: $85,800 - $125,800, commensurate with experience .
