About the Role:

Upgrade is seeking a passionate, experienced product marketing leader to join our talented Marketing team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Growth Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact across our mobile banking products. We’re on a mission to offer the most innovative, consumer friendly experience in mobile banking.

You will develop and execute messaging and positioning across our consumer marketing touch points to ensure our unique value proposition (UVP) is clear and compelling. You will conduct research and keep track of the competitive landscape, launch tests and campaigns to help customers reach key milestones, and launch cross-promotion strategies to introduce customers to our other beneficial products.

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco office (in office Tuesdays & Thursdays).


What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop first-class messaging and positioning across consumer touch points including product pages, product UX elements, app stores, and lifecycle campaigns
  • Launch ongoing tests to help customers reach key milestones and maximize their benefits
  • Track the competitive landscape closely to develop our positioning strategy
  • Develop innovative, data-driven strategies to cross-promote other Upgrade products
  • Leverage advanced technology including Push Notifications, SMS, MMP, Deep Linking
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Design, Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance
  • Conduct analyses on experiments and program performance to inform decision making
  • Partner with Analytics team on reporting and key insights, present to leadership

What We Look For:

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Marketing or similar role
  • Demonstrated experience with writing copy for key marketing and product touch points
  • Experience launching and managing data driven experiments from inception to completion or rollout
  • Analytical mindset and approach to problem solving. Ability to use engagement data to drive strategy and decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Proven success in handling the ambiguity of a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Project management skills: ability to prioritize high impact activities and keep multiple projects moving forward
  • Sound judgment with excellent written, analytic, and communication skills and the ability to work on projects with autonomy

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $170,000 - $195,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
 
Upgrade has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States and Canada, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range could vary depending on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
