Your role in helping us shape the future:
As the Senior Manager, Product Program Management at Intelsat Government Solutions you will focus on leading program management and service delivery for Intelsat's Government business unit (BU). You'll partner with functional leaders to ensure alignment of program deliverables, across the business unit and the larger Intelsat enterprise. As an innovative leader that supports the enterprise strategy, you will provide managed solutions that are fully integrated in our customers' networks. Using your market intelligence expertise, you'll set out and seek opportunities to profitably expand our capabilities to address existing customer needs and introduce new solutions leveraging complementary existing or emerging technologies and business models.
You'll always ensure that programs are aligned with market and customer requirements. In collaboration with Sales and other stakeholders, consistently define the distribution strategy and establish KPIs to measure and report success.
Are you up to the challenge?
  • Innovate and drive a transformation from satellite to hybrid and/or complementary services and solutions to serve the Government market worldwide. Focus on U.S. Federal, State and Local agencies--and allied governments, as assigned
  • Manage programs that integrate satellite with terrestrial networks and complementary technologies in order to increase Intelsat's revenue
  • Lead BU engagement in the formal Enterprise stage-gate approval process, utilizing the format and tools provided
  • Develop Ecosystem partnerships to enhance quality, Product adoption speed, and market share
  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships between the BU and potential partners/acquisition candidates by establishing and cultivating relationships with key individuals at target companies
  • Serve as project sponsor of cross-functional teams (to include external stakeholders, as required) in the execution of approved strategic partnerships
  • Work with marketing, sales and technology groups to create and implement Market Development strategies
  • Collaborate with BU Sales leaders to develop and adopt a construct for seamless transition of opportunities and customer engagements to program execution
  • Identify and build cross-functional relationships to drive strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution skills combined with strong negotiation ability, delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and management of direct reports, ensuring each employee receives the opportunity for professional development to allow them to succeed
  • Manage the workload of the team to ensure that priorities are clear, expectations are set, and commitments are met; Manage clear goals and objectives of each team member
  • Hire and train new employees, delegate work and hold direct reports accountable for their performance within their roles and responsibilities

You should definitely have:
  • A minimum of 12 years overall of global telecom/satellite experience that is related to product & program management, product design, positioning, deployment and implementation, etc. (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • A Bachelors' degree in business, engineering or a related technology discipline
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness. The ability to work effectively across the enterprise at all levels of the organization
  • Effective English language communication skills, both oral and written and the ability make compelling presentations including at the c-Suite level. Experience with developing marketing plans/new business opportunities
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple complex projects. Including the ability to deliver successful projects -on-time, through the leadership of teams - both internal and external
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Customer focused both internally and externally
  • P&L exposure and responsibility
  • Innovative, "out of the box" thinker who can facilitate internal collaborative discussions to conceptualize and define our service offerings and future enhancements
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently and on short notice.
  • US citizenship is required. Applicants who are not US citizens will not be considered for this role
  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S. government security clearance at or beyond the TS level
  • This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Citizen.
