The status quo is not good enough for our dedicated worldwide community of players, which is why we question the de facto industry conventions and demand more from ourselves as developers.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Production to work with the Game Director, Executive Producer, discipline leads, and senior management to manage and drive the strategic game development process for Guild Wars 2. This work includes project level scheduling, implementing best working practices, high-level problem solving, facilitating communication, and identifying and managing high-risk areas of production.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with the Game Director and Executive Producer to assemble product teams, determine product plans, and lead the teams through the entire development process
• Collaborate with the production, art, design and programming leads to create project schedules, budget resources, drive milestones, and bring clarity to the scope the project
• Develop and refine the Guild Wars 2 development best practices and processes to increase production efficiency and quality
• Manage, mentor, and support the Guild Wars 2 production staff.
• Communicate with management and teams on all development status and any obstacles that need attention
• Monitor change requests and determine when significant changes to project scope have occurred
• Manage the dependencies and development process with core studio services including the Web Development, Audio, Localization, QA and Marketing departments

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• At least 7 years of project management experience in online or console game development, combining experience in industry disciplines, including programming, art, technology or production
• Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel in art, design, programming, and management
• Ability to create project schedules and milestones and monitor the progress of department milestones and individual tasks against those schedules
• Ability to create and implement appropriate best working practices and production processes
• Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• MS Project, JIRA, or similar project management software skills
