About The Role 

Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Manager, Production & Creative Services will oversee project management and creative operations of goop's production team, ensuring seamless workflow across all touchpoints. This role will be responsible for planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages, managing budgets, timelines, and staffing for all projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing the creative process from ideation to delivery, producing high-quality content in fashion, beauty, wellness, food, and e-commerce. The Senior Manager, Production & Creative Services will be responsible for adhering to project KPIs and maintaining and managing the budget and costs of all production. 

  • Oversee the production of all creative content for goop, including video, and photo 
  • Manage the production team and ensure that all content is produced to the highest standards of quality and consistency 
  • Report into and align with the Creative Directors to define producer’s scopes of work, budgets, schedules, hired talent and priorities 
  • Managing all photo and video production budgets 
  • Oversee the management of the in-house photo studio to support efficiencies and standards of quality and consistency. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and freelancers to ensure that all production needs are met 
  • Planning and execution of the pre-production, production, and post-production stages hiring staffing for projects. Examples may include but not limited to: fulltime and freelance  production, PA’s, photographers, directors, DPs, prop stylist, stylist, shoot crews, retouchers, video post-production resources, casting, location permits etc.  
  • Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to develop and streamline work processes to find efficiencies across channels. 
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in production and creative services, and bring new ideas and approaches to the team 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field 
  • 8+ years of experience in production and creative services, preferably in a fast-paced editorial content experience and digital media environment  
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of production and creative services 
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proven track record of managing multiple members of a production team to motivate and deliver high-quality content on time and on budget 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, legal, finance, marketing, external brand partnerships, clients and internal brand managers to effectively problem-solving and make decisions efficiently. 
  • Experience with production software including Excel, Monday.com and Photoshop and with digital asset management 
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies

FAQ  

  • Compensation: $100,000-$135,000 + Equity. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
